Am I the only one who still believes in a renewal to a 3rd Season for The Gifted? I need more from this show!😪😭
(Caution, Spoilers ahead for Season 1 and 2 of The Gifted)
What if Lauren had been the one to join The Inner Circle?
Look I get it, it's easy to see why Andy joined them, he was bullied and then found out he was a powerful mutant and decided to start pushing back. It's a trope we’ve seen a thousand times. So why not do something no one is expecting and have Lauren join them seemingly out of nowhere? Not right from the get-go, that doesn't make sense, what could possibly have convinced her to do it?
Fenris
She tries to see the best and to believe that humans and mutants can peacefully coexist, but once she gets her first taste of Fenris, she becomes obsessed with the power that it gives her and, because she wants to protect her family and friends, decides to go where the power is (let's be honest, 5 of the most powerful mutants on that show were in the Inner Circle)
And let's go a TOTALLY different route with Andy. Instead of becoming more aggressive after his powers emerge, he realizes that now he's the biggest guy in the room: and he understands the value of power because of how much he was picked on and decides to always be the bigger person and never go out of his way to hurt someone (We see a little bit of that side of himself when he and Lauren have a fully justified reason to use Fenris but he decides not to do it because it would kill innocent people as well as the Sentinel Service people coming after them)
Imagine how different their shared dreams would be too. I can practically hear Andy begging Lauren to come back home and Lauren begging Andy to come to her so that they can really protect Mom and Dad.
I would have loved to see this; it would've been different, that twist would've blown our collective minds and it would’ve made Andy and Lauren much deeper and complex characters.

The fuck was with them cutting to bank scene when Andy knocked Rebecca on her ass??
We see him scream 'no', she turns to him, he tosses his arm out, it cuts to the bank-scream-scene, then shows Rebecca sliding across the floor??
The fuck happened there????
