*thoughtful* I reckon Yuuta would have been somewhat less of a hot mess, had Imayoshi been there as captain instead of Mizuki. But the real plan was actually to sic Kirihara on captain!Aomine so that Imayoshi could laugh and laugh and laugh.
Yuuta was destined for Shuutoku in order to chase Midorima relentlessly and provide Takao with hours of entertainment.

So number 5 is You’ve posted a fic anonymously. How would someone be able to guess that you’d written it?
Well, I mean, is it smutty? There’s a good tell right there. Are there a lot of em-dashes and semicolons? I do love me some dashes and semicolons and compound-complex sentence structures. Is it in a really tight third-person pov? Is there a lot of internal narration? Is there pining? Does the pov character long intensely for something they know they won’t get to have because $reasons? Are they resigned to this knowledge? Do they then get that something?
If yes to the foregoing questions, you’re either reading an Em fic or reading something Em would probably enjoy the fuck out of reading, and you should link me to it forthwith.

For 13, we have Name three favorite characters to write.
Only three? Heck. Okay, fine. Imayoshi is a joy and a pleasure to write; all I have to do is wind him up and set him loose and watch him snark across the landscape. He’s practically effortless.
Squalo is also a lot of fun to write: again, wind him up and watch him go, though generally with a lot more volatility and swearing. With him, the thing about the word fuck functioning as a sign that a noun is on the way is pretty accurate. Or perhaps fuck as punctuation. That works too. Also, Squalo’s everything is right there on the surface; the man has no hidden motivations to speak of. It’s all “Does this make Xanxus happy and/or accomplish Xanxus’ goals? Right, okay, we’re doing it. If not, fuck off and die.” Simple, really.
Then there’s Yuuta, darling goal-oriented, desperate-to-prove-himself Yuuta, who is a bundle of insecurities and urgencies and single-minded focus. The above where I talked about characters wanting things they’re sure they’re not ever going to get? That’s Yuuta, and he doesn’t let the fact that he’s sure he’s never gonna get there stop him from working his ass off anyway.

Once upon a time I wrote a fic where Fuji pulled a complete cisswap to get Tezuka’s attention, and since Yuuta is my most beloved boy, naturally I had to poke at that idea for him. Yuuta being Yuuta, of course, of course it wasn’t working out as nicely for him as it did Aniki...

T - Do you have any hard and fast headcanons that you will die defending, about anything at all (gender identity, sexual or romantic orientation, extended family, sexual preferences like top/bottom/switch, relationship with poetry, seriously anything)
I… don’t think so. I very seldom have headcanons I’d go down defending. I’m afraid I’m more the frolicking in various headcanons type. :P If I have any, they tend to be characterization stuff, like SNAPE IS NOT EVIL (I think I had a hundred variations of headcanons related to that) back when so many people were convinced he was. Or currently: Kuroo is not a sex predator pleeease.
Otherwise, it’d be something so random and completely mundane like I bet Aomine is a shoe snob, so haha, not exactly what I’d go up in arms about. I guess I’m just too much of a stickler for canon backing that it’s hard to get fired up over pure headcanons (I’m boring like that). :\

Does doujin scanlation count? Because I still giggle-snort thinking about Akashi’s Mount Fuji-san (NSFW) but it isn’t mine, and of course neither are the miscellaneous other crack doujin I scanlated. (Let’s you and I pretend the hilariously bad Aomine bodyswap fic never happened.) Probably the most crack I have ever indulged in was way back in the Inuyasha fandom, when I used to do a lot of ad lib captions for anime caps. Sesshoumaru was simply too awesome for me to not poke fun at. :3

How do multi-shippers answer these types of questions? T_T I function three ways when it comes to ships (read: endless ways). There are the occasional ships I latch onto that morph into lifelong OTPs I will go down to hell with (hence forever current). My 3 big ones are ShikaTema, KuroTsuki, AoKuro.
That aside, there’s the usual popular ships I adore on an ongoing basis, like MidoTaka, KiKasa, DaiSuga, AsaNoya, BokuAka, Silver Pair, etc. And then there’s also the rarer variety that I’m currently partial to or dipping my toes in, such as AkiSae, EnnoFuta, KagaMomo, AkaMomo, MibuHyuu, and more. There’s always more. OTL

I’m convinced this is some form of torture, so I will list just five that I have actually found myself needing to defend recently (albeit not with my life). Kuroo Tetsurou, Tsukishima Kei, Aomine Daiki, Tanaka Ryuunosuke, Sugawara Koushi.
