Save me, ranger rifle.
I know it's foolish to hope...
But I can't help it.
With Laranity's MASSIVE event bringing a new peak to Guild Wars on Steam alone, with devs during the last Extra Life stream regretting not continuing support for GW1, with StephenCW being put full-time on GW1 support, and with ArenaNet, for the first time perhaps ever promoting GW1 updates on their GW2 twitter account...
I desperately hope that ArenaNet creates true, new content for Guild Wars.
Please, ArenaNet, give us a Bonus Mission Pack 2, sell it for $15. Just to test the waters, see if people will buy it. Then the next year, give us that Elona Beyond arc and sell it for $15.... I am sure that Guild Wars would turn profit if we got small, $15 DLCs annually. The popularity and sales of this anniversary should be enough support to at least test it!
Which Anet employee do I need to have a chat with to politely beg and plead and cry ugly tears to for these to come back in to the the gem store.
Armorsmiths
Ever heard this from an armorsmith? "Good as new! As long as you don't take up bear wrangling, this should last you a while."
What you might not know is that the Commander hasn't heard this in years. We stopped getting armorsmiths in HoT at the very latest, and we started repairing our own armor on anvils. Probably because the jungle was too chaotic.
This means that, canonically, Commander learned armorsmithing in the jungle, and that's one of their skills. (Of course, there are probably still armorsmiths around canonically post-HoT, but Commander's just got used to doing it themselves, quickly and efficiently. Normal people still have to speak to armorsmiths though XD.)
One quirk of the armorsmith is that they all have the same dialogue; and you know wrangling bears is a joke, but they all say it. Must be a niche inside joke for armorsmiths. But it can be surprisingly nostalgic if you haven't been in Core Tyria in a while.
My only question, though, because this is sort of the last straw for me: how does Commander learn armorsmithing ON TOP OF EVERYTHING ELSE?!?
Metal legion event with different types of interactive mosh pits and stage dives and first person crowd surfing. Wall of death where charr headbutt with their horns- it launches asura characters and gives an achievement. Crispa Fangwrencher plays a solo in the circle pit and you have to keep rowdy fans from punching her. At the end you help little charr cubs catch the drumsticks Enneca throws into the audience. I need more metal legion!!!
