It was an odd feeling to hear the words that were so casually moved about the room. Bear knew many things about Elliot, enough to feel a need for him, and yet, it seemed, he still had so much to learn.
“Excuse me?” He asked casually as the laughter died down. Ava acknowledged him slightly with a simple raise of her brow, enough for him to go on. “What do you mean your brother payed for it? Why?” The room fell a bit quieter, and Bear could sense others getting nervous. “Just to clarify.” He added, hoping to not ruin a night of games with his confusion.
“Sex, duh.” The brunette laughed as if surprised. “The way we basically pay for everything now. People are so thirsty, I love it so much..” Ava’s playful words trailed off as she sipped at her beer.
Bear had yet to look at Elliot since hearing the words, and though he was well aware that Elliot’s life was his own, he had trouble wrapping his head around it. Stripping was one thing, but a man literally bought him a home.. Should he worry?
Waiting a moment for the game to resume, Bear excused himself, casting a glance to Elliot, that he would, no doubt, follow. Entering Elliot’s room, Bear let a sigh escape him. Why did this news bother him so much?
