Autumn is definitely here ... these are the climbing glory vines - that wrap around the veranda of the house - changing colour in all their cascading beauty.
They are the non fruiting decorative vine that creeps & hangs. Yes, their leaves will drop as they gradually enter their dormancy period.
April is the second month of autumn here in the deep south, the southern hemisphere, where June, July & August are winter months 🌏 .

Sharing some random views on what was a beautiful spring morning back in October 2018, the second month of spring here. These shots show show parts of the drive & parking area down in front of the house here at Fat Lawyer Farm.Excuse the weeds. Ugh!

via Insta April 2020 * The colours of autumn are emerging with these colder nights, cooler days here at home @fatlawyerfarm - - - - Another early evening shot from the other night here at home, kind of sunset …. The old wagon/cart with wine barrels sits down near the dam (a dam is called a pond in US 🇺🇸 certainly in the South where I lived). Its autumn here with daylight saving time sticking around ‘til sometime in mid April. Certainly the cooler weather has arrived & quite early this year. Have had the heater on at nights … even contemplated the wood fire a couple of times. The red coloured vine on the cart is a virginia creeper, it’s normally green leaves fast changing colour with the autumn chills.
via Insta @fatlawyerfarm from 8 March 2020 * * ` ` Early last evening around sunset doing errands here on the property i.e pumping water to header tank etc . . Autumn started 1 March here in 🇦🇺 but daylight saving time doesn’t end ‘til sometime in April. . . Certainly the temperatures have changed to cool to cold suddenly. We have had the heater on up here at nights. Have contemplated the fire even. . . Anyway, it’s a bird house/feeder next to an old tin bath down near the front drive & parking area here at home @fatlawyerfarm It’s a locally made birdhouse, a sturdy piece, which has changed colour a few times since being here & probably will again at some point 🙂 . .
