Gang I'm debating combining this blog with Parabalis's sequel (IT'S NAMED HARVORSHIRE!! legit can't remember if I've mentioned the sequel before) or making a completely separate one. I think I'm gonna just. combine the two because the Parabalis gang is also featured in Harvorshire. I will add the OCs in both a separate blog, as well as adding them to the main intro post.

Get ready to meet such creative and amazing and intricate people, such as jealous ex with no regard for human life, psychopathic bastard shapeshifter, Jekyll and Hyde if they were a television, Will Wood if he was a therapist, Monster addict 2.0 (this time in prostitute form), and D!! no this was not a typo that's her name. the letter D

People die in horrific ways! Shit gets set on fire! Orgon's alcoholic tendencies fuck shit up! Clay gets worse! The concept of anomalies is greatly expanded on! Television fucks literally everything up! Also Christmas! No guns this time around, fortunately.

I've been thinking about this sequel more than actual Parabalis, honestly :3 Mostly because I need to develop a linear plot for it. And literally everything goes down. I wouldn't exactly call Parabalis a nothingburger in terms of Shit Going Down, but most of it is at the end, whereas in Harvorshire there's much more Shit to Go Down throughout.

I also think Harvorshire is gonna be a lot longer than Parabalis, due to the amount of content it will include.

In any case I shall get to work combining the two soon :3

Recently I got a hyperfixation on Glass Animals’s older music and listened to Psylla a total of over 100 times while making an animatic of Parabalis AND ITS SEQUEL to almost completely nonsensical lyrics in a new drawing style. So here.

There are mild spoilers for Parabalis and lil spoilers about its sequel, Harvorshire.

Honestly I’m proud of myself for the fact that I even made an animatic upwards one minute long. I don’t draw at all and the fact that I made all of this without reference and also in a new banger style I’m fucking with brings me great joy.

2026 is going to be the year of Parabalis. You have to hear me out on this.

Take a little history of yours truly first.

In 2021, I gained many friends but did not write very much - I started a crackfic series and got three-fifths of the way through before slowing down. In 2023, I went through a few hyperfixations but did not write anything substantial enough to become a book/fanfiction or series. In 2025, I wrote 22k-ish words of Parabalis and several half-baked oneshots for my Danganronpa hyperfixation.

Now.

In 2020, I wrote and completed my first full-length fanfiction. In 2022 I gained the biggest hyperfixation of my life and wrote an ungodly amount for it. In 2024 I wrote a 100k words three-part fanfiction and started two others.

EVEN NUMBERED YEARS ARE MY MOST PRODUCTIVE YEARS. THIS IS UNDENIABLE GIVEN THE PROOF I JUST STATED ABOVE.

My goal for myself is to publish Parabalis before I graduate college. In 2026, I will be finishing my junior year and becoming a senior, so I have no choice but to lock in. This is going to be the year of Parabalis — IT’S LITERALLY EXACTLY 20 YEARS AFTER THE YEAR THE STORY TAKES PLACE.

Howdy! My name’s Angel, and this is an askblog for the original characters featured in my upcoming novel - the first book in the Abnormal Series, Parabalis!

PARABALIS is a story that is associated with talk of the paranormal, desolate winters, poor mental and physical health, LGBTQ, 60’s-70’s rock music, smoke breaks, hidden cults, deals gone wrong, blood trails on snow, anomalies, death, secrets, enlightening dinner conversations, marijuana, found family, and wishes for impossible, better outcomes of the future.
