The runner stepped in and looped the leash over her head with no problem. She walked out voluntarily and walked well to the yard. In the pen she had soft eyes, a soft tail wag and engaged softly with runner. She approached the fence and sniffed at the dogs and remained calm. In the yard she oriented and approached the handler first before engaging in soft greetings with the dogs in the yard. She was not playful and did not engage in play despite the higher energy dogs attempts. She tried to stay away from the high aroused, high energy dogs and gave good low growl warnings but was not over bearing. She was gentle dainty, tolerant, and calm demeanor during this yard. This dog is available for public adoption with kids middle school+ recommended, and calm dogs are recommended. This year on April 2nd we were were set to spay and neuter 1,526 pit bull type dogs in 41 cities nationwide but due to Covid, nearly all the clinics have had to postpone and will reschedule for later in the year, so clinics will be happening all year. TODAY in Lakeland, FL 18 pit bull type dogs are scheduled for surgery which will be done at the TLC Pet Snip with Polk County Bully Project fully funded by the Spay & Neuter ANGEL Day initiative!!! Angel Day participants are required to provide photos and videos of the lives being helped by this effort so we can share the faces your donations are directly helping. We will post everything as soon as we get it. Stay tuned!! Fiona Apple made a donation that will cover the cost of 180 pit bull type dogs getting fixed in the NJ area when they are able to open. My admiration and respect for this woman is off the charts. Factually, I’m the size of a 6th grader, have the metabolism of a bag of hair and my life is more than half over. The most important living beings on this planet to me, are pit bull type dogs. And whether I live another 49 years or 49 days, I will spend that time fighting for their lives. These precious velvet farting clowns are all born inherently good and are voiceless helpless souls who need our help. Their plight never stops being painful. The stories, photos and videos I have and continue to see daily is nothing short of hell on earth and not one of them deserves a single second of what humans do to them. So, it’s my Birthday wish now and forever that my species will stop killing these magical gifts and instead respect, protect and love them the way they deserve. I know I will likely never see the horrors these beautiful dogs face every day come to an end in my lifetime but I will fight for them until I take my last breath and ask you to join me in that fight in whatever way you can. Inherently good lives are depending on it. And if you can’t donate at this time or can and want to do more. Take the tome to educate someone who perpetuates fear based ignorance towards these dogs. Tell those who believe buying dogs is okay why it’s not, even if it’s uncomfortable. Or take a moment to post about why spaying and neutering is vital to saving lives and how people can help.
