Liv/Ravi: two weirdos who fell in love
The transition from weird co-worker to friend (and intriguing science experiment) is so quick that Ravi sometimes feels like he’s always known Liv. Which makes it hard to pinpoint when that friendship changed into something else, something more. He holds her when she cries about Lowell, and he tries his best to be there for her after that, and ignores how small she is and yet how perfectly she fits in his arms. He can’t do that to himself or her or Major. Not when there are so many other things going on in their lives.
But it’s happened, or it’s happening, and the next time he holds her it’s for a happy reason, she’s just rescued him from being kidnapped by some of Blaine’s zombie thugs, and even though he’s just seen her go full-on zombie mode against them (and come out on top), he’s still not afraid of her, just for her. So when she throws herself into his arms, he clings like a limpet and presses a quick kiss to the top of her head, which should be safe.
She pulls back and looks up at him, her eyes shining with something that isn’t rage, and smiles. “Ravi--”
“I’m just so happy to see you,” he says quickly, not wanting to make things awkward or weird(er), but she takes his hand and presses it to her cheek. Her skin is soft and cool to the touch, but her smile is warm and she snuggles closer, letting her body say what words can’t.
“I know,” she says instead. “Me, too.”

-Sweet morning fluff featuring an adorable Eames, jealous over Arthur's inappropriate relationship with the coffee maker.
Arthur, because he was a cruel, cruel man who wanted Eames to suffer, scratched at his belly, and eyed the slow drip of the coffee pot as though he would happily service it and any other number of less-than-upstanding gentlemen, if only it would be willing to pay the right price. Eames was not responsible for the translation of this look, because Eames' higher brain function, at this point in the day leveled off at somewhere around 'nnngh' and 'Arthur' and 'bed warm.'

angelgazing/aredblush, cupcakes
It's been a long freaking day, and the guy who was supposed to wash the dishes never showed up. Apparently he needed to do his homework more than he needed a job. Nic's grimly pleased to think he'll probably end up with neither.
"Um, excuse me," someone says from the corner,
Nic snaps out of her annoyed haze and drags out a smile. "Yes, how can I help you?"
"Two red velvet cupcakes, please, with the chocolate frosting." The customer smiles at Nic, and light glints off her lip piercing. She's got a notepad in her hand and a pen, which she's twirling idly. "To go."
"Sure thing," Nic says, grabbing a cake box. The moment she does, though, someone calls from the kitchen. She starts to swear, cuts it short, and gives the costumer an apologetic look. "That's five bucks," she says, hurriedly packing up the cakes before running to take care of the latest emergency.
When she's back, there are five dollar notes on the counter, and a piece of paper. Nic picks it up, and it's a woman in an apron, lounging against a huge cupcake and grinning. Beside it, in neat cursive, it says, "Seems like you've had a rough day. I hope it gets better later."
Nic puts the note down and grins.
