ppl will happily ignore the antisemetic and racist and homophobic shit said in this show bc they’re always treated as jokes and said by characters that are framed as “mean” or “popular”.
rachel has said/done some things worthy of criticism. but what people end up actually criticizing her for is never things that actually hold any weight (like the crackhouse thing like that’s SOOOO unserious when i would argue her assuming sunshine didn’t speak english was objectively more offensive but i never really hear ppl mention that)
but as we’ve learned, mean-spirited things are only bad when the “loser” kids are saying them. biphobia is only bad when kurt does it (not santana). racism is only bad when rachel does it (not brittany).
