When Respectable

London, always busy, was particularly packed on this particular day. The many mysterious deaths all around the country had led people to pack up and move to the larger cities, seeking safety in numbers, though all it did was make them an easier target.

The people on the street, for example, thought that by creating a veritable river of commuters they could protect themselves from harm, while the truth was that by packing the street it only would have made it easier for Lucifer's forces to pick them off. From his own position in an outdoor street cafe Lucifer could have obliterated them all.

But that wasn't what he was there for, and it wouldn't have been anything other than fun. He sipped at his tea and extended his senses, pressing past the myriad of human souls to find the one that stuck out, that one that shone like a beacon hidden in dirt. Lucifer smiled, put his cup down, and said in a whisper of his true voice so that no one would hear him but the intended recipient:

"Hello, Castiel. It's nice to see you. Do come sit down."
