Nightwish I send through the starlight sky

Unlike the quoted lyrics suggests, the sky in the cover art for Angels Fall First isn't all that starlit, but I thought it would still be a cool idea to somehow combine Nightwish's self-titled song (which is one of the very first songs they ever recorded) with this cover art of their first ever album (where the song Nightwish was eventually included as a demo). I added the shooting star as the "nightwish", thought it was a fitting way to do it :D This whole thing is kinda in honor of the band turning 30 this year, although March is a bit early for that, but yk if I didn't draw this now when I had the motivation and the idea, chances are I never would've done it

I also considered using lyrics from Astral Romance, specifically the bit that goes "The nightwish I sent you centuries ago / has been heard by those / who dwelled in a woe" because I liked that it also mentioned the band's name, but chose to go with the Nightwish lyric instead

the biggest thing about angels fall first to me will always be that its not a bad album IT JUST DESERVED TO BE REMIXED AND FULLY MASTERED. why are you putting this 20 year olds demo out to the world like that you’re setting him up man. its literally not bad there is a lot of real songwriting and musical talent on here but it fails to reach the potential that’s very clearly there in a way that’s painful to see
