Thanks to @kompactkitty and @deepestnightmarebeard 's posts, I've been reinvigorated to start painting and posting miniatures again. Here are some miniatures from a while ago (read; fully finished by 2020), re-photographed with better tools and lighting!
So at first I had thought of the idea of making a strictly Primaris Angels of Absolution successor army. This was mainly due to the fact that at the time there was so much confusion on if Primaris could be a part of the Death Wing / Raven Wing for the Dark Angels.
The way that I was looking at it was, due to the mistrustful nature of the DA and each of their successor chapters, they would always seem to find reasons to not hold on to their own Primaris Marines. Instead anytime that somebody else would ask for help they would throw their uninitiated at the army requesting assistance. Then there is fact that I've always interpreted the closeness of DA with each of their successor chapters I'm always under the interpretation that they're still technically a legion and no one outside organization knows this.
(Especially funny when they got caught red-handed by Papa Smurf regrouping after the great rift cataclysm. Azrael literally debated opening fire at the leader of the Imperium of Man.)
So with the side of irony if I was playing a game with my Dark Angels in a way that I could just bolster them up with Primaris Marines, all the while the Angels of Absolution chuckling lightly at the idea the Primaris wouldn't return.
Then I remembered back to my second edition days fuck I am old, The Dark Angels army has had so many hiccups when it comes to paint schemes that it's not even funny. During the Rogue Trader days they wore black and then whoever ended up coming out with some type of an army painter magazine from the earliest of days in tradition of Games Workshop forgetting its own lore painted them dark green.
Then I vaguely remembered a few other things from the past. It just went all pear shaped at that point.
To be a part of the Death Wing is to know about the hunt for The Fallen. Seasoned veterans and most definitely those that would be considered to lead would be a part of the Inner Circle, wearing the "bone white" color on their suit. So it wasn't just wearing Terminator armor that would define them as Vets of the First Company.
The narrative is getting pushed forward after 30 years. Equipment from 10k years ago that mostly everyone has forgotten how to manufacture will break down after a while if it can even be recovered after loss because... War.
I may just make a portion of the Gravis armored into Death Wing if I feel really frosty about it

Mind you, I pick up and put the hobby back down every few years 🤣
GW/Citadel paints have gone through a few formula changes. It also sucks because as I have gotten older the spectrum of color my eyes can see has shifted.
I know that's not my first model and to be honest I have no idea if they had ended up in the garbage before the turn of the century.

Angels of Absolution.
Sergeant Dantalion and his 4th Company squad join Librarian Ipos in the investigation of a wrecked Thunderhawk gunship.
Had a lot of fun painting these up. I've a few more marine squads to paint up before I'm really 'done' with the infantry side of things; a couple dev squads, roughly two more tac squads, and three characters left to do. Then it's on to the Land Raiders!
