Does anyone have the angels in America broadway bootleg? I have the pro shot version but the broadway show literally saved my life. It would mean the world if someone could pass it on.

Photos from a recent trip to the city. I took Madison into the city as a belated birthday gift. The plan was to eat our way around the city and see some of the more unusual sights. Started with a trip to the Kelloggs cafe for breakfast, followed it up with a chocolate overload at the recently opened Blue Stripes and from there we bounced around to see some sights @anglelsbway @kelseymontague-blog, got caught in the thunderstorm, talked to strangers, got a birthday balloon, lost the birthday balloon, ate gay ice cream, broke umbrellas, went on a carousel and had massive indulgent shakes before making the trip home in wet sneakers.

Angels in America (05/26/18)

****SPOILERS AHEAD****

Hey everyone! I’ve been a little MIA because of my summer classes and work, but my friend won the lottery for Angels in America yesterday so I spent an excessive amount of time watching Andrew Garfield portray a dying gay man and it was amazing. Here’s some things I felt worth noting:

- the show is 7 1/2 hours long. IT IS SO LONG. Not only is that a lot for the audience, I can’t even begin to imagine how it must feel for everyone involved in the production

-it’s in 2 parts; that being said, I recommend you watch it all in one day (like on a Saturday)

-there are amazing photo ops (pics to follow in another post)

-curtain is black and is not fully raised

-it rises higher than the last time after each act to reveal a set piece which is sUPER COOL

-N A T H A N L A N E.

-i feel like that’s all i have to say about him because he is just SO GOOD it’s unbelievable. so deserving of that Tony nom

-speaking of Tony noms, I honestly thought Andrew got one because ya know he’s Andrew Garfield but NO HE DESERVES THAT NOM HE DID SO MUCH

-all the characters are connected which is super cool

-during couple fight scenes (there’s 2 big ones), both couples are on stage and crossing each other and just WOW this staging

-the SET!!! the STAGE!! things moving things coming out of the floor it’s GREAT!!

-“fuck you im prophet” is the theme for about 10 minutes and i loved it

-a little graphic (blood, some nudity) but very very good it contributes a lot to the experience imo and was done well

-“he’s a SODOMITE” ahhh prior walter you silly ghost

-the voice of the Angel is really captivating I love her voice

-THE ANGEL’S ENTRANCE OH WOW her wings are huge, people are carrying her and they’re the ones flapping her wings

-the LIGHTS in this show are GREAT. Really good use of them

-“heaven is like san francisco” are you sure

-lawyers, Jews, gays, republicans, mormons.... Gay republican mormon lawyers!!!

-prior is a strong ass bitch saying no you can’t come back!!!!

-everyone in this show imo had to push themselves in some way, whether it was by screaming, nudity, lots of movement and trust when being lifted up, etc., and they are all so wonderful and i’m so amazed

i’m honestly just speechless so to wrap this all up, everything about Angels in America was great. It’s long, but it is worth every minute. Andrew Garfield blew me away, Nathan Lane like.. do I even need to say anything (the man took up 3/4 of the page with his bio!!) about him he’s just phenomenal and you should all go see this if you can!!
