It’s Ikuhara so it gets SUPER WEIRD. Like incomprehensibly weird & not as masterful as Utena. But I really liked it at the end, especially Ringo. Ringo turns out awesome. And yes, lots and lots of tears happen, some episodes/moments are incredible.
I think that's the other thing that holds me back with Mawaru Penguindrum because, like, I enjoy convoluted and weird shows often times! (As mentioned before, Kaiba is SUPER WEIRD, but that just made me love it all the more!) But I'm not sure I'm in the right headspace for something that's super weird and would take a lot of attention to follow/untangle. It's still on my "Someday...." list, though!

I don’t recommend Tokyo Ghoul. :/ It skips and reorders a lot of the events in the manga. A good example of something the anime skips is character exposition of the main character, and makes him more annoying. :/
Is the reordering a bad thing? Like, SnK reordered the events from the manga, as far as I can tell, but I found that I really liked it because it made it more coherent for me. Though, the main character being annoying definitely is a point against it. ):

If you want a easy and lighthearted series to watch in your spare time, I suggest Tonari no Seki-kun! Even though it’s a slice-of-life, it’s quite entertaining and all on CrunchyRoll. Good to watch when you want a break from seriousness!
It looks super cute! Right now, I'm more in the mood for something supernatural/magical/sci-fi-ish, but I'm definitely making a mental note for in the future!

Ping Pong from the last season was excellent. It doesn’t seem like the most exciting subject but the author has this special flair for cool that I just love. Also check out Tekkonkinkreet if you like it, its a studio 4c movie from the same author.
The Ping Pong anime looks like fun! I have a fondness for sports manga (or sports manga-esque) series, like, I watched 40 episodes of Hikaru no Go in a week when it was first coming out! OOH, TEKKONKINKREET, I FORGOT ABOUT THAT. I always meant to watch it because Nino from ARASHI is the lead voice in that and for an obnoxious little shit in a boyband (I say this with love, Nino is an obnoxious little shit on purpose) he's a legitimately good actor.
Never watch his dramas, though, because he has literally LAUGHED AT PEOPLE when they said they make them cry! AND THAT HAPPENS A LOT, HE FEEDS ON UR TEARS. Ugh, I miss ARASHI fandom.

Not an anime, but Pushing Daisies might be a good fit if you haven’t seen that before! Unfortunately, I don’t know of any places on the internet where it’s readily available. D8
Sadly, I could never get into Pushing Daisies, despite Lee Pace being one of those "sit up and pay attention to my fizzy hormones" people. ):

Magi. Magi, Magi, Magi Magi, Magi, Magi, Magi, Magi, Magi- You get the idea?
Ooh, Magi is definitely a possibility! I'm sooooo behind at this point, which makes me wonder--should I just read the manga, because it's quicker and I like the pace of it or should I go with the anime/is it really an addiction adaptation?
