Good morning💜 I just read through your post about kids navigating through online situations and fandoms and I just wanted to say it was a good read. I keep forgetting that their are things I’ll have to teach my kid that my parents didn’t teach me (or couldn’t teach me in quite the same way). You bring up important topics that may never have crossed my mind until it was to late. I appreciate that you care enough to even mention half the things you post about. You’re freaking awesome
Oh uh….wow, I really wasn’t expecting any sort of praise from my rant yesterday. I felt I was a bit too blunt and toxic with my wording, but I really do speak up about things I genuinely care about.
And I just want kids to be safe, online or off. Because I know first-hand how damaging it is when kids aren’t and having to grow up coping with that.
I digress, but thank you~
not as good as the Greg and Rose ones but i’m happy with my gem baby and goggle baby ♥
Hello Buns ♥
(lolz, must find a better name for those).
I saw some one make little hello kitty cakes with a baking mold and flipped my loced lid over the possibilities. Mine should be here by Christmas. I'm going to bake honeyed rolls in the hello kitty molds and fill them with seasoned beef and vegetables♥ I've already tested the filling with a store bought croissant and (it needed more pepper but) it was lovely. I had about four of them and took a nap ^^;;
I'll also be cooking up an orange chicken version and a vegetarian hello kitty bun with a savory broccoli gravy i learned to make when i was still in school. We all need our veggies♥ I'd like to make a vegan bun as well, but i.m not quite sure if i have the talent to make it taste as good as it looks. If any of you are vegan cooks or bakers i would love to hear your advice on the matter.
Finished, just had to black line it and put some background to it, but I love it more this way. Maya Kern is just so beautiful♥
Inserting shameless self-promotion here ♥

Oh gosh, thank you for the kind words. Working with the blacklight reactive ink gave me so much grief, I'm a bit taken aback by the positive response. I purchased a package of "Secret Message Invisible Ink Pens" just like the ones sold here. Despite the iffy quality, (expect some leaking barrels, dead batteries) these are a fun novelty pen and have great results on your run-of-the-mill notebook and computer paper. My experience using these on the journal pages is another story. It's very easy to create bleed-through that will permanently stain (watermark) the page. It will also react with other mediums already applied to the paper, including permanent ink. For all the trouble, the ink is barely legible even in dark conditions and with a powerful blacklight. ...Of course, the quality of sketchbook paper varies drastically so what didn't work for me could potentially work for someone else. For future pages, I'm going to experiment with other types of UV Ink, until I can find something I'm happy with. I've learned to embrace failure as an important piece of the creative process. I wouldn't have gotten here without it. Thanks and happy crafting!
(Disclaimer: I've never quite figured out how to properly reply to comments without reblogging the entire post. So I apologize if I'm doing this wrong; I'm tumblr dumb.)
How to come up with a new story idea #1
If you ever find your self out of ideas for a good story, just google "lists of superstitions and omens" and pic a good one that really speaks to you. After that, research why people thought the superstition was true, where it came from, and you got all the makings of an interesting story right there
