He knows what it’s like to have nightmares so real that they can encroach on the night when waking “I’m not going to let anyone or anything hurt you, I will have their blood running over my hands before that happens.” He takes his hand and runs his fingers through her hair, trying to calm her just that little bit more.”

It wasn’t too often the Underworld had visitors! Tom eyed the stranger curiously before stepping forward. “You’re in the Underworld. I’m Tom Lucitor, the prince of the Underworld.” He extended a hand for the woman to shake and gave her a small grin. “And don’t worry; it’s not as scary as it sounds. I promise.”

🔥|| “Well...” What the woman asked was a good question, though it was difficult to answer. There were many answers correct on that question. It was his home, his curse, A prison ...It was multiple things.

Though one answer was more fitting to her situation.

              “Afraid of?” He repeated, scoffing at the idea. He feared nothing! Nothing and no man. He was confident, self-assured, and a quiet specimen of a man. That he had one hundred years of family history to top meant nothing. The wife at home who continually told him how little she cared meant nothing. The wavering stock in the company which threatened doom meant nothing.

                “Only children are frightened of things in the night.” Perhaps true. It was those in the light that terrified him.

                      “If that’s the case old boy, the opera may be the wrong art to patronize.”

           I think this is it? Not Accepting

              “Enchanté, Mademoiselle.” His accent was worse than his mannerisms. It was an impressive feat. Though he was well kept - his manservant must pull his fair share - every movement was somehow both robotic and clumsy. Even the kiss he planted to the back of Mademoiselle Daae’s hand.
