Never ending or beginning
From the moment he’d step foot in the institution, the man couldn’t help feel paranoid of the patients and doctors that filed through the halls, like monsters lurking in the corners. He kept to himself for a while, but as always there was nothing to be gained not to find a companion, the long hours in the day stretching to nearly eternity.
In the few months he’d been here, he’d yet to cause much of any trouble other than his rambling if you’d allow it. His odd behaviour was usually ignored or he was ushered back to his room when he crossed a line. Invading the other patients’ space, refusing his medicine and even managing to escape from time to time. Still it beat the other patients that could sometimes be aggressive. Maybe he was...He couldn’t recall, often finding he’d blacked out.
He likely had now as well when his eyes focused and he found himself standing outside the office of a doctor. The new one he’d seen earlier. The slightly opened door only compelled him forward, his curiosity getting the best of him as he pushed it completely open to peer inside at the other man. “...Hello?”
