Wings of the softest white and pinks fluttered almost restlessly at his words. She’d heard a great deal about him, but he was proving to be nothing like the stories. Had she been lied to? Probably. It wouldn’t be the first time her naivety got the better of her.

“I’ve heard differently,” she admitted, head tilted to the side as she studied him. What a curious man. Or did he fall into the realm of a creature? She supposed her siblings might call him a creature, but he looked like a man to her. 

He didn’t appear to be the monster they said.

“It seems I was lied to,” she smiled faintly.

With a giggle she pressed another kiss to his cheek before nuzzling her face against his and hugging him just a bit tighter for a moment. She’d missed him, but also wasn’t shy about the fact that Lucifer was her favorite sibling. “Nothing, just thought you needed a kiss,” because she was forever showering him with affection.

It was a blessing that he indulged her; he was far kinder than their other siblings.

“Exploring… I got you something!” and she produced a beautiful flower crown she’d made for him out of various flowers that matched his eyes.

“It’s not your job to do it all by yourself...” she argued lamely, well aware of the fact that her words would have no affect on him. She was the youngest, after all, and she was constantly reminded that she understood very little, but she thought it was less of that and more that she simply didn’t think like the rest of them.

A soft frown marred her features as she gazed up at her eldest brother; she still wasn’t so sure. “Then... why am I different?” she asked softly, her brows pulling together in concern. So many of their siblings called her out for being different from them and it didn’t help that she was so much younger.

She felt as though she’d simply been created as an afterthought. As if their father had forgotten about her for a millennia before finally bringing her into existence.

“I don’t feel like I belong...”
