Dr. Seward is increasingly reminding me of Anghal from Hatoful boyfriend. I'll just put my comparison under a readmore for spoilers related to the Pigeon Dating game, just in case.
Anghal was a secret character in the first game, and a main character in the second.
He would constantly talk in a really dramatic style, with most of his words being written to act with double meanings. Where if you have context and know the full story of the game, a lot of what he says actually makes sense/is clearly a metaphor relating to the game.
And then in the sequel, there's just one scene where his mom asks him what he wants for dinner. He has a Completely Normal conversation. Like theres no dramatic dialogue, theres nothing but a really normal mother-son conversation, before he immediately goes back to talking like he's some sort of Powerful Anime Protagonist.
And I love just how similar it feels to Dr. Seward's diaries. Where he's very dramatic when talking to himself, but when talking to others Like Abraham van Helsing its just a completely casual conversation.
