Being conscious of desire doesn’t automatically mean being happy about it.
Spinoza, Schopenhauer, and Buddha saw it: Existence is tension. It's lack. It's movement born from absence. You feel the engine inside you pushing, and you rightly feel a kind of weariness, maybe even anger at it.
It’s like realizing you are chained to a wild horse you never chose to ride.
