Would u be so kind as to do a wildcard fic? 👉👈
Wildcard and Professor Gunnar Maelstrom did not get along very well. Maelstrom did not think very highly of her. Wildcard did not care what anyone thought of her. It was a classic case of teacher-student rivalry.
In other words, Maelstrom didn’t stand a chance.
She dared not utter a word to her fellow trainees. It was important that no one uttered a word to the boomers. The only indication that something was off was the fact that Wildcard pocketed her Oreos during mealtimes. But she quickly shook off suspicion by doing the orange justice on the table. That was classic Wildcard.
Wildcard waited until just the right time: 6:00 PM. A few hours after classes ended. Perfect.
She crept out of the dorm room and made her way into Professor Maelstrom’s classroom. There he sat, in all his menacing glory...grading papers.
She cleared her throat loudly to assert both her presence and her dominance. Maelstrom looked up, and his face took on a sour expression of vague annoyance. “Good evening, Wildcard. How can I help you?”
“Oh,” she said, forcing herself to conceal the laugh bubbling inside her, “if anything I wanted to help you tonight. You put up with so much and I thought I would pay it back a bit.”
Maelstrom raised a suspicious eyebrow. “Is this another one of your antics? Because if so, I have some papers that need grading and a student that has a detention coming to her.”
Wildcard shook her head. “No, Professor Maelstrom. I’ve been saving up some Oreos at lunch and I thought you might appreciate them.”
Maelstrom still had a stony face. For a moment, Wildcard worried that it wouldn’t work, that he would just turn her away and she would be stuck reading everyone else’s terrible handwriting for nothing. But then his face strained so that it almost looked like a smile. “Thank you, Wildcard. That is much appreciated.”
It worked. Wildcard bowed respectfully, laying the Oreo packs on his desk. “Thank you, Professor. Goodnight.”
The deed was done. And even though her roommates would probably chew her out for the lack of toothpaste, it was definitely worth it.
She hoped Professor Maelstrom enjoyed toothpaste-filled Oreos.
REN I AM SO SORRY THIS IS SO LATE.
