AAAAAAAHHHH!!! &@*^%$%$#@

Muffled screams in ma head 10 seconds to implode To the outside it just looks like I won’t do as I’m told Tick, tock. 9 I’m getting there- Smashing mental plates Slamming mental doors Looking for maself deep within the midst Of my sudden anger fit. Inside I’m shaking but 8 I’m not, In ma throat there builds another clot; The result of held back thoughts, Choked back words, Feelings bit back to Avoid unnecessary attack- Causing me 7 times more pain Than this lone ache in ma brain 6 This needs and end or it’ll End Me. 5 Beats me up inside Until I’m unable to breathe. I can’t live like this. I can’t live. But I have You to live 4 Which keeps me fighting this war with maself again and again. Once more. 3 There’s gotta be a way to Spill ma mind, say What I hafto say 2 who has to hear Just the right dosage to slow ma heart To rest, To put ma mind to sleep, Back at peace 1, BlastOFF.

My Unhealthy Rage

Sometimes my own anger attacks me Like a foreign body.. A ghost, Choosing me as its host, Numbing my mind- taking over. This spirit that lacks self control Gives in to its selfish desires SmaSHinG, SCREAMING, a fury hell bent- Erupting poetic parables: Every volcano needs its vent. But when that inconsiderate lava begins to cover All surroundings, all who surround her; That wrath melts, morphs into a saddening depression. Look at all you’ve lost from this petty situation Abandoned by my emotionless host, I’m left to drown Under ash, tears and ones to which I was once bound. I’m done. My emotions are stronger than I- Abundantly fed they return to batter me. Here I lie Lifeless, but left with enough strength to cry; The more I nuture my emotions, The more they kill me inside.

What I mean

My smile is the ash

on the burnt beams

of your white church on a hill.

Nearby is a graveyard full of your vows,

your mausoleums

are full of broken windows

while my Victorian stands proud.

You try to invite the moon and sun to your sills,

but they dance to my rhythm.

You thrash in water, trying to breath

but too much of me is in the air.

It seems too easy---

a classic versus a remake

and you stall out.

I am the old roots tearing apart

your  kissing concrete cracks.

Don’t fade out yet,

I come back every year;

perennials that choke the weeds

while you are nothing more

than a rotten bouquet with a pretty wrapper.
