Some angsty Lute headcanons I have (Trigger warning for mentions of s3lf harm beneath the cut!!!)
Now while watching how Lute was acting in episode 2 I IMMEDIATELY starting headcanoning she had developed some self destructive habits after Adam's death.
First of all, I imagine it started with hair pulling. When stressed she tugs and yanks at her hair, sometimes even pulling out strands and clumps!
Then I imagine it escalated from hitting things to herself in moments of rage. I imagine she'd hit herself and pinch herself!
Now I already headcanon that she's the type to overwork themselves but after Adam's death I like to think she works out until her legs physically can't hold her weight anymore. Until she's completely out of breath and aching all over, to her it's her punishment for failing Adam.
And finally I headcanon after gravity ended is where she started cutting. I imagine she grabbed herself with her prosthetic arm and accidentally cut herself with the claws (shhh ignore the glove...)
After already breaking pretty much everything in the room Lute turned her rage towards herself and started using the claws on her prosthetic to cut her good arm. But that wasn't enough for her, feeling so angry, filled with grief and so many other feelings she needed something sharper, something better. So she reached for a shard of glass.
Now this is just my headcanon in no way am I claiming this is cannon nor am I romanticizing!
