Vergil! Pros and Cons! =D

Thank you both for the ask! Here’s Vergil in relationship (at least the list of things I can think of now, I believe every relationship has it’s own dynamic) :D

Pros:- would spoil his lover with gifts (the tasteful kind)- he’s loyal, once in relationship- he has a fashion sense, so you would look good when with him (or else)- has a collection of skin & hair products that could rival some spa houses; doesn’t mind sharing them with his lover (he’d insist on letting him use the products on you, because he would find something you need to improve, like skin hydration for better glow)- a flirt&tease, if his lover is into it; likes getting dirty (the fun kind) anytime- a big fan of consent - Vergil would never force himself on an unwilling partner; he respects boundaries he knows about- likes to spend quality time with his lover in private settings, surrounded by books, good food&wine and of course in bed - talking&sex- confident in his body and conviction; would attempt to bring out the “good” sides of his lover with subtle nudges (if he sees the potential, like pursuing a hobby); supportive of the decisions he approves of (this could be a con too, in some cases)- he shows that he cares by gestures and his presence, when he’s needed (if he leaves work and other important matters just to be with you, he’s very serious about you)

Cons:- holds onto grudges, so be careful what you say/do around him and to him- no verbal “love you” from him, like, ever- often gets caught up with research, work (Wardens) and travels- if pushed too hard on emotional & feelings level, he’d back off (lashing out first and closing off); Vergil doesn’t react well with the nosy & pushy types, when “emotions” come to play- will take other lovers if you’re on “the break” from him and are not “officially committed” (one night stands, if he feels like it), so if you have problem with that, well- he’s petty and knows how to hurt when arguing (though, he has to feel threatened to be so spiteful)- no public displays of affection with him; also, he isn’t a tactile person and takes a lot to warm up to casual touches outside the “bedroom”- can play the silent treatment & cold shoulder and win (doesn’t mean it’s a heatlhy tactic)- rarely jealous (or very good at hiding it); though, when he considers someone “his”, he can get a bit nasty (verbally “offend” the rival, in diplomatical way ofc) :>- stubborn (doesn’t like to be told what to do & admitting he could be wrong)

He absolutely does... In the best scenario, he’d survive the battle of Denerim, withdraw from the spotlight - and join Zevran on his mission to either reform or destroy the Crows. He’d visit home as often as possible, to check up on Cyrion, Shianni and Soris. He’d help Darrian out at Amaranthine. He’d write that book of alienage stories. Also his own account of the Blight.  He’d probably join forces with the Inquisition, for a time. Das would pull every string and call every favour to help the Tabris brothers find a cure for the calling. Lenn and Zev would live happily ever after and they’d adopt and raise a bunch of kids.

i think lyna and tav are very similar and she would admire him--and his ruthlessness towards humans, especially. i think they could bond a lot over their upbringing and the way that it shaped them into the people they are 

ultimately i think they’re very similar enough (wroth, ruthless, irate) that they would get along just fine--but the occasional blow up at each other would probably fester and grow bc neither of them talks about problems

but everythign is ok as long as they just get to hang out in the woods together alright

for get to know your author ask: 12 and 21 :)

My weaknesses as an author: Too many commas, and having difficulty letting go of logic when I need to. I keep wanting to make things be logically explainable, even when it would sometimes work better to leave things unexplained or ambiguous or even to have them happen in ways that are obviously impossible. I also sometimes get so bogged down in research that I don’t write enough. I also worry that I alienate audiences by writing stuff that’s too weird, and that it could be difficult for me to write any long fiction that doesn’t have a lot of porn in it, or at the very least nothing I’m fixated on.

What do I think when I read my older work? Often, actually, “huh, this is surprisingly good, considering.” Sometimes, “ugh, why did I prioritize this idea, why did I get so hung up on the idea of an alternate reality where my culture accepts me, when I’m barely part of that culture to begin with and have other options, why didn’t I at least make it more utopic.” Sometimes “yeah, I could probably describe that better now, but it’s a learning process.” The worst is when I disagree with the underlying assumptions of my earlier work, not anything regarding technical ability.
