Yamato X Reader
Unrequited love Headcanons?
I do refer to Yamato as she/her. I’ve already made a post explaining why I chose to do this.
Anyway, I don’t know what you’d call this, they’re written like headcanons but it’s like a mini fanfic told through bullet points.
This was just to get my angsty bitch emotions out, if you wanna part two let me know cause I already got some ideas ready for it.

Having finished opening Wano, and defeating Kaido and the beast crew. You all head back to the Sunny with a new crew mate.
Yamato the 8’8 (263cm for you metric bitches out there) Amazon Adonis officially joined the Straw Hat Pirates right after completing Oden’s goal of opening the country once more.
After that day Yamato stopped going by Oden and began being Yamato again.
And you were enraptured with the newest addition to the team. You found yourself getting lost in her golden eyes, you admired Yamato’s red horns and how they were so smooth the light would often reflect off of them like polished glass. Yamato’s arms are like a perfectly chiseled marble, pale and strong. You want nothing more than to be pulled in by those muscular strong arms and held tight against her large chest.
Yamato’s presence always demanded your attention, no matter where you were or what you were doing. You couldn’t help but admire Yamato when she entered the room.
You would often train and workout with Yamato most mornings before breakfast, you’d often eat lunch with one another, and nothing made your happier than seeing the smile on Yamato’s face when you shared your dessert with her.
You found yourself having long talks with Yamato during down time on the ship. You’d lazily toss a ball back and forth while Yamato told you all about how she grew to idolize Oden and even try to become Oden as well as growing up imprisoned on Onigashima.
Like wise you told Yamato all about your travels with the straw hats, the fights and battles you’ve won or were just involved in. If you were at Marinefort two years ago, you’ll tell her about how Ace died protecting his brother and saving his life. If you weren’t there you’ll just talk about where you ended up training for those two years.
It was clear to almost everyone that you were head over heels for Yamato.
One afternoon you approached Nico Robin as she was sunbathing and reading up on deck.
You needed a woman’s advice, confiding in Robin about your crush.
She already knew.
“Wh-what? How-How did you know?” You stumble
“It was a little obvious. You’re always finding ways to spend time together, sharing your food, you’re always staring too.” Robin casually explained placing a book on between the pages and closing the novel.
Robin advices that you just be honest with Yamato about your feelings and ask her out next time the ship is docked.
You thank Robin and give her a side hug, she snakes her hand up and ruffles your hair before you go on your way and she returns to her book.
You made several visits to your crew mates that afternoon. You talked with Nami about date ideas and how to ‘properly treat a lady’ as she explained. And you made a point to talk to Usopp about what exactly you should say when Asking out your crush.
Nami had told you that the ship would be docking at a nearby island tomorrow, she made a point to inform you before anyone else so that you could get ‘first tibs’ on asking someone to go explore with you.
You practically lept out of your seat to hug Nami for doing you this kindness.
You paced in your room before breakfast thinking about what you’d say, how’s you say it, if Yamato asked or said anything how you’d respond. You wanted to appear as suave as you could.
It was right before lunch when you approached Yamato, you told her exactly what Nami had told you. About how the ship is about day away from the nearest island and how you’re gonna dock to get more supplies.
“So, I was wondering if you’d like to, when we dock, go with me? Kinda like a date.” You stumble here and there on your delivery but you still speak with as much confidence as you can muster.
“Oh uh…I’m sorry (Y/N) but I don’t really see you that way. You’ve been a great friend ever since I joined up with you guys, but I don’t feel the same way, sorry.” Yamato’s hand tensely scratched the back of her neck as she struggled to look into your eyes.
“…YEAH [clears throat] yeah, it’s uh, it’s fine. No big deal, no sirry not a problem with that.” You try your hardest to play it off but the cracks in your voice are evident, and the tears welling in your eyes are hard to miss.
“If you’ll excuse me. I forgot something in my room.” You quickly turn away from your second tallest crew mate. Yamato reached out as if trying to stop you, before quickly putting her hand back down.
“(Y/N)! Will I see you at lunch? Sanji’s almost done.” She called out.
“Yeah, I’ll be there.” You say spitting out with the last of your composure.
You weren’t there
Yamato sat alone eagerly waiting for her friend to comeback and share this meal with her.
She had prepared a plate just for you, it sat at your spot at the table, all set up. Waiting for you to come back.
You didn’t come back.
You had locked yourself in your room burying your face in your pillow, muffling your cries and wails of heartbreak.
All that advice, all that help, all those pep-talks, all that practice all surmounted to nothing but your fleeting hope and a shattered heart.
Usopp was the first to try and talk to you through the door trying to coax you out.
Then Robin gently knocked on your door before bed to check on you.
You had only politely yet bluntly told her you didn’t want to talk to anyone right now, but you did thank her for stopping by to check on you.
The ship was docked for three days, after the second day had passed you still hadn’t left your room, that’s when Nami kicked down your door and dragged you outside.
She sat with you while you ate a plate of food Sanji had made for you that morning. Nami explained that everyone else was in town at the moment but they’d all be coming back for dinner.
You didn’t want to get off the ship, you just wanted to crawl back to your bed, clench your tear-stained pillow and wallow in your own self pity for awhile longer.
Your stomach dropped when you walked out on deck and you saw in the distance walking back to the Sunny. Your crew mates. Yamato, Luffy, and Zoro was with them.
Yamato was Luffy were laughing hysterically at something someone had said, with Zoro giving a smirk and a light chuckle at whatever was said.
Then Yamato’s gaze turned to Zoro and you knew that look anywhere.
Yamato looked at Zoro the same way you always looked at her.
You felt a ping of…you don’t know what exactly but it didn’t feel good, it made you feel hollow and void.
You clenched your teeth, your knuckles turned pale as you absentmindedly increased your grip on the railing.
Yamato turned back towards the ship spotting you on deck, She smiled and waved before rushing ahead to meet you on deck.
After seeing Yamato wave you turned around. Ignoring Nani’s protests. You walked back below deck to sort out these new feeling and emotions.
I have a question about you. :) I see you answer requests about scenario writing. Why do you think fluff is hard for you? I think you do wonderful. I wish you'd write a full fluff one-shot fic with Caryl. But seriously, what about fluff is hard for you, but angst is easy? Thanks in advance for your response. 😁
My goal is to always write what feels authentic to the characters I follow onscreen, and for me when it comes to Carol and Daryl, that demands a lot of angst and grittiness. Personally, I find working with darker themes helps the story become more emotionally-driven and therefore more impactful, whereas with fluff, the focus is more on the funny or awkward situation the characters have been placed into.
Also, not gonna lie, super mushy, happy romantic stuff kinda grosses me out sometimes. I don’t know. I’m just one of those people.
^None of this is to say I don’t enjoy reading stories where Daryl and Carol are outside the realm of what we’re used to, and there are a lot very talented writers who can make it oh, so much fun yet still believable.
I really do want to write full fics again (probably not fluff), but it’s a slow process. Dialogue comes more naturally to me as a screenwriter, so I can whip it up a lot quicker.
not only do i like stucky, a very painful ship, i like to read prewar stucky because i hate myself and it hurts so good
Happier times
Hey someone do me a favour and yeah uh just you know yeah just fucking stab me please?
"What are you?" For Blue
@worldsovicious
"A mistake," Blue responds without even fully thinking over the question. Then a moment passes, and she sighs.
"I'm...a person." One carefully filed down claw toy with the fraying threads on her jeans. Even if she carefully clipped and shaped her claws constantly -- they would never appear perfect. Not like a human nail, anyway. "I feel like whatever you are is probably more interesting."
Whoever or whatever this was definitely wasn't human. Frankly, the scent that clung to their skin was starting to make her nervous.
