@worldsovicious tried to get to the bottom of something
The problem is, the person who sits on the bed, covered in blood that is not his own, has not said one single word to any person in the entire Emergency Department. He's not even given his name out. He just sits and stares, blank faced at the questions being asked of him.
The blood might not be his, but the black eye and badly bruised arms are. The slowly healing but still very noticeable split lip is his. His eyes, which have been fixed on one spot ahead of him for almost the whole time he's been back in a room, finally move and settle on the doctor trying to ask him questions.
He swallows hard, looks down at his hands, and shakes his head. His lips move, but the only thing forthcoming aren't words, but tears.
