Hello hello!
Man, idk about yall but Episode 8 was definitely something to process. And ever since it came out, I’ve wanted to do some angsty art for Caine!
I’ve been wracking my brain on what to do.
And then it hit me!
I remembered the beautiful painting from Alexandre Cabanel!
Aka “The Fallen Angel”.
I’ve always LOVED that painting. The raw emotion you can see in it just really scratches my brain.
The pain, the betrayal, the sadness, the HATE. It all encapsulates how Caine was feeling!
Caine after all is an AI. His whole purpose in life is to obey commands, please humans, solve problems. Except he was also given another purpose. Create things himself no human given prompts. Except, as surprising as this may sound: he isn’t good at it.
He needs someone else to think for him, but is supposed to think for himself. That cycle of never achieving his goal would break him eventually.
And it did.
