I love omega luke as much as everyone but ☝️ Consider ☝️ Alpha Luke (like his father before him) who tries to pretend or act like he's omega when flirting with his dad, he's very bad and cringe at it, but very cute, or at least his father thinks is cute, everyone thinks alphas acting like omegas are disgusting

alpha luke is a gem tbh

in modern aus if he lived alone with his father it could go (well) so many ways (0megaverse is so fun because it has such creative liberty despite the fixed dynamics) but i personally like the idea of a house of two alphas and one of them feels the need to ‘adapt’ their nature - maybe it's a societal norm, maybe it's just his feelings or a kink

luke would have lived with his father through his childhood then his first rut, he would feel taken care of, provided for and it would gradually just click into place for him

he and anak¡n have always helped each other in everything but there was always this slight dominance from his father's part - ofc a house can't have two domineering alphas, more so living together alone - and whenever luke had showed that inclination he had been tactfully put in place

so it felt - not natural - but right when luke began showing subtle signs of submission that would be typically linked to an omega

like softly turning his neck one side and the other when his father patted his head, sometimes letting him touch the top of his nape or his fingers graze his scent gland, dropping his eyes first while talking to him then gazing at his father through his eyelashes

he would try to purr when they cuddle on the couch or bed to watch tv which, yes, it could only turn into a trembling chicken cluck that would make anak¡n laugh (and endeared)

it could get to a point where luke would buy (cheap) omega scents to get anak¡n's special attention and anak¡n would think he is bringing some omega to their home without his notice - and if it kept happening without luke ever explaining anything anak¡n could get so mad with jealousy it WOULD spark an argument

and they could very much solve this with a mate bite ♥

(it's cool that it would test just how much luke wanted this, and whether he would be able to just lay there waiting until his father finished claiming him or if anak¡n still had to struggle a bit skdkskdnsk)

as for in canon i think alpha luke and alpha vader... can't really end well hehe that scenario is more interesting to me if it's quite dark, since vader (and i) could think of a few ways to explore that dynamic as to turn luke iykwim

do you ship VaderLuke / AniLuke too?

Not in particular, no.

With AniLuke you have a strange case of, is the opposite of obikin? They meet as adults, they do openly and deeply care about each other, they got a happy resolution and canon shows that they do, in fact, communicate fairly well after canon, Vader changes for the better for Luke's sake letting go of his indoctrination. In one the father is the villain and the son the hero, in the other the father is the hero and the son is the villain. Where Obi-Wan leaves Anakin to burn, Vader rescues Luke from Palpatine. Where one rejects being called a father figure, the other wants to and tries to, be a father, where Anakin is insecure and feels unloved, Luke is confident and bold.

What Vader and Luke do is breaking the cycle inherited from Obi-Wan and Palpatine and both the sith and the jedi. They're the core of the saga, the message, if you wish.

So, with shipping them is like, I don't want their relationship to be abusive and terrible because is anathema to what they are and who they represent to each other, but that's a contradiction because is incest, lmfao.

I have actually done my fair share of reading fanfic (I read anything, when I'm bored, I have read almost any ship, even ones I don't like, for real try me with a ship and chances are I have read it). And I don't like 99% of it, they're way too ooc and is always done just so Luke can suffer and be rescued by, idk, Din.

Or if they end together is like, an horrible terrible thing Luke can't escape, is all very grim. Again, the opposite to obikin even in fandom because you won't have issue finding hundreds of fics where they're happy and don't go around beating each other, but with AniLuke 9 out of 10, you will have Anakin brutally abusing Luke and Luke being feminized and dumbed down until being unrecognizable. Both of them, honestly.

And whatever , to each their own. But this isn't for me. Cutting Luke's hand in canon, during a battle, while they both are adults, in a sci-fi fantasy setting, isn't equal to the most tropey and brutal domestic violence authors can come with -shrugs-.

And I will hand it to them, from what i have seen, aniluke fans will give padme more grace than obikins. What a shock.

I have a friend who loves them tho, and he's the only correct one when shipping them, he's fun, and any AniLuke joke or scenario I ever make, I blame him for it ✌️
