Anakin's visions aren't necessarily linked to anything medical. He had nightmares about her crying for help and dying while screaming. The paranoia is about her death, regardless of reasons. All he knows is that she's going to die, all because the visions, all because he had already had prophetic visions, plus he's stressed, underslept, just returned from the war front.

George Lucas isn't a subtle filmmaker, if the movie wanted the audience to think Padmé had any kind of health issues , it would be plain and crystal clear.

OOC and pandering to the prequel-haters aside, we have a scene of a character (Clovis) assaulting another character (Padmé), and then a third character (Anakin) defending her… but it’s played out like a metaphor for domestic violence and leads to them nearly divorcing.

If you really wanted to make that analogy (which you probably shouldn’t with Anidala because that’s not them, but anyway) do it with something that’s actually harmful, not him literally defending her.

Because when he’s defending her and she’s reacting like he’s beating her, and that’s obviously the image you want the audience to have, that’s. Not a good look for you as a writer.

anakin can get a little jealous from time to time, just like anyone. in aotc padme teases him with a story about a boy she had a crush on when she was 12, and it works. i don't think he'll be as jealous as he is in tcw2008, the jealous plot was ultimately removed from rots, so, you know, not unhealthily jealous

i don't think pre-fall anakin was possessive. anakin doesn't have as big a problem letting people go as the fandom thinks: this is evident from the fact that he left his mother to become a jedi and didn't visit her for 10 years, when padme turned him down despite the fact that feelings were mutual, he respected her decision and didn't insist, by the time of rots, he hadn't seen padme for 5 months and was okayish with it, ect.. anakin certainly has a problem with letting people go when it comes to matters of life and death, when someone he loves is in danger, but this is a different kind of problem than possesiveness, so

post-fall he's under the influence of the dark side, and it canonically changes one's personality, so he might be more jealous/possesive in this case; another issue is that vader literally has no one (except sidious) and is super depressed, so he has no one to be jealous/possessive of

Yes I know she doesn't """forgive""" in this comic, but it shows her with way more nuance than just, some rabid hater. And since this is Disney canon, this still eventually leads to the first dialogue, because that novel is Disney canon.

Whatever the stance is on Disney vs Legends, I think is funny how in BOTH continuities Leia does accept Anakin in some way or another, but people love to nitpick and take her reactions out of context
