Last night we picked up our first case of documented of neglect/abuse - a 10 year old female who was dumped outside. She is horrifyingly emaciated. Will be getting her to a vet. before buying more animals

do the animals you already keep have the best possible care including good enrichment, suitable sized enclosures and the best suited diet?

I think it’s important to remember that by buying an animal you should choose to care for it to the best standard, you are never forced to buy them nor do they choose to be bought

If you’re not in a state where you can look after your animals to the best standard then that’s ok! I’ve definitely had times when my health has gotten in the way of my animal care but remember they rely on you

You should prioritise your health and choose not to take on any more animals and get try and help for the ones you already have

It’s not just about not neglecting your animals, you should aim to make them as happy as you can!

I posted a while back about @alexaraywild when she locked her fox and other animals in a storage unit! Here again, a few months later, she has violated the law regarding animals again. She has 9 new charges pending regarding animals and fish and wildlife violations. She claims she is a 501(c)3 but she isn’t. She has raised thousands of dollars over the years and her former best friend evain said the money she raised; she spent it on buying her condo and NOT on the animals. This woman is going to cost many animals their lives. She should NOT be trusted at all with the care of even a goldfish. I say lock her in a Florida storage unit on a 100° day with no water or food for a few days and see how she likes it. After 12 hours in my home, I told Summer Parker and Rachel Strachino, the founder of BFF Pet Rescue she was far worse than when she arrived in their care and that Shiloh urgently needed medical care. I was also concerned because they gave me meds for another animal and I questioned if Shiloh had been treated at all. Summer Parker insisted “SHE DOESNT HAVE MANGE! 2 VETS TOLD US THAT, KEEP HER ON THE PREDNISONE” Yet from 4/28 - 5/17/18 she still has posted that Shiloh DID have mange and was requesting donations “for her expensive treatment” After speaking to numerous Veterinary professionals, I immediately discontinued prednisone and took her in to receive treatment for mange, against BFF Pet Rescues orders. This is the progress after only 5 days in her new home. Summer Parker has begun trying to remove Shiloh from my home. Spent like half an hour outside at midnight cuddling and playing with the neighbors dog. He literally crawls under the fence to get to us and ends up scratching his head. :( I know they don't take care of him, but I'm not really sure what to do.
