Then when we’re honorably discharged we have to fight and fight and fight for our pensions and disability ratings with the @deptvetaffairs only to be put on waiting lists for appointments and compensation and pension reviews as long as 5 years! I worked really hard to get to where I am, to own a USDA LICENCED 501(c)3 Non Profit Wildlife sanctuary called @wizard_of_paws_wildlife . I’m looking at buying a farm so we can expand in the future. I spend A LOT of money at Lowe’s on enclosures and fencing. This really bothers me because I don’t think female veterans are given as much attention as male veterans. We didn’t even go out to eat this year because last year I got asked if I was “really a veteran” even though I showed my VA ID card. It’s tiresome and I know I’m not the only one who has had this happen to them. Thanks for making women feel small this Veterans Day. Next year, remember women.
