We have named this little love ❤️✨BRAYDEN✨❤️ meaning brave! For now he is on lots of injectable meds and getting lots of TLC. Keep this little guy in your thoughts please ❤️ and keep networking for help. Together we can do so much! Brayden’s story- This little #pitbull puppy was dumped at an emergency veterinary clinic in Berkeley. He was suffering from severe trauma injuries after being mauled by his dad, a large un-neutered male dog. This poor little pup’s injuries include severe facial trauma, painful lesions and abrasions as well as a fractured skull and a broken jaw. His facial trauma includes a “rostral maxilla fracture” (broken upper jaw/pallet in the front) which will require specialty surgery to remove pieces of bone, tissue and likely teeth. Judging by the fact that this little guy was left unattended with an un-altered male and given his young age, rescuers are fairly certain this poor puppy came from an irresponsible and neglectful “backyard breeding” situation. The decision was made for #K9PPR to try and help save his life. He stayed overnight in the hospital as an inpatient as he had swallowed a lot of blood and needed intensive inpatient care to become stabilized. The partial maxillectomy that he will most likely need is generally performed by a specific specialty department since they remove bone and jaw, tissues etc. Specialty surgery basically means extremely expensive. Even after suffering these horrific wounds and enduring horrible pain, his little tail still wags and he gives very gentle kisses.
