PAWSOME BOBCAT CHRONICLES by #wildographer @kaigner: “Is it strange to miss a wild animal? . I know—I hope—she is still present in the landscape, even though I do not see her. I see tracks, and the remains of kills; but, they might not be hers, for her children too roam the land. . In the spring, she uses the house to den, and as a respite from sweltering days. It is at the house we cross lives. It is at the house, where I am granted access to her presence. We share an intersection of time and a narrow passage of space. I cannot move with ease through her home; a landscape of low brush and prickly pear cactus. I cannot follow. So I wait. I wait until Spring when the air turns hot, and a den is needed. I wait for the space we have shared in the past, and hope there is a future. . Something happens when Momcat is around. She teaches me that Life is quite simple. That existence only requires a few things. That the quiet is filled with telling sounds, if only you pay attention and listen. She teaches patience. And trust. And, the art of being present. These are all things necessary to succeed in the wild; and ironically, they are all things necessary to succeed in our own human lives. She teaches what humans seek answers to-yet we look podcasts and therapy instead of learning from those who already know. . I know there will be a day when she will no longer arrive. But until then, I can only believe that she is fine; as she has been for the years I have known her, and the years before we met. . Until next spring my friend, I can not imagine any other way.” . #Wildography #wildlifephotography #momcat #bobcat #wildlife #lifelessons #lessonsfromnature #catlovers #wildlifeplanet #wildlifeonearth #conservationeducation #spiritanimal #animals_captures #animalsinfluence #animal_sultans #bigcatswildlife #bigcats #natgeo #bobcatchronicles #cute #wildcats #catstagram #bigcatsofinstagram https://www.instagram.com/p/CIQEVsKgLVV/?igshid=1jhgfxsr07q29
