Day 4: Idol with pets/animals
Here are a few of my favourite pictures of Patti with her pets and animals!😊
natgeoVideo: @andy_mann // Cuba’s rare crocodiles are in trouble. Primarily preferring freshwater over saltwater, the Cuban Crocodile (critically endangered) is the most terrestrial of all croc species and it's slightly larger neighbor, the American Crocodile (seen here with @natgeo photographer @cristinamittermeier) is moving in. With healthier populations, and preferring saltier water, The American Crocodile's range is increasing as sea levels rise and Cuba’s freshwater habitats become more and more brackish. We had the unique opportunity to spend several days in the water with this beautiful specimen: gently floating along the surface, gliding through the seagrass or squeezing in and out of the mangroves. After learning our boundaries and taking the time to observe this individual's behavior, we were over-joyed to have such a close working proximity well into the evening hours. What an honor and privilege to be working in “Garden’s of the Queen” Cuba, have such a powerful experience and to be able to share it here with our followers.
The Shapeshifter’s Surprise
Characters:
SERAPHINA: A bright pink, bird-like Charmixie. She is bubbly, graceful, and loves her pink paradise.
ANIMALY: A brown cockroach with a mischievous grin and the incredible power to transform into any animal.
[SCENE START]
EXT. THE CHARMIXIE LAND - DAY
The sun is shining over a rolling landscape of hot pink grass and lavender-colored trees. Pink flowers dot the ground like stars.
SERAPHINA is hopping happily through the field, her large eyes wide with wonder. She flutters her wings, taking a small leap into the air.
SERAPHINA (Cheerfully) Oh, what a beautiful, pink-tastic day! The flowers are blooming, the air is sweet... it’s perfect!
She lands near a large pink tree. Suddenly, a rustling sound comes from behind the trunk. A pair of long, black antennae pokes out.
SERAPHINA (Tilting her head) Hello? Is there a new Charmixie friend hiding there?
ANIMALY steps out from behind the tree, adjusting his white gloves and smirking.
ANIMALY Not exactly a Charmixie, pinky! Just your pal Animaly, looking for some fun.
SERAPHINA (Giggling) Animaly! You always startle me. What are you doing in the pink meadows today?
ANIMALY I heard this place was "too pink" to handle. I thought I’d add a little... variety! Watch this!
[ACTION] Animaly spins around in a brown whirlwind. POOF! The smoke clears, and in his place stands a giant, bright pink elephant with the same tan-colored belly as Animaly.
SERAPHINA (Gasping) Oh my! An elephant! But... he’s pink! He fits right in!
ANIMALY (AS ELEPHANT) (Trumpeting loudly) I can’t help it! The magic of this place is rubbing off on me! But can an elephant do... THIS?
[ACTION] POOF! Animaly shrinks down instantly. Now, he is a tiny pink hummingbird. He zips circles around Seraphina’s head, moving so fast he’s just a pink blur.
SERAPHINA (Dizzy but laughing) Wait! Stop! You’re making my head spin!
ANIMALY (AS HUMMINGBIRD) Too fast for you, Seraphina? Okay, let’s slow it down.
[ACTION] One last POOF! Animaly returns to his original cockroach form. He lands on a flower, bouncing slightly on the petals.
ANIMALY So, what do you think? Do I get an award for "Best Animal in Charmixie Land"?
SERAPHINA (Smiling warmly) I think you get the award for the best friend, Animaly. No matter what animal you are, you’re always you!
ANIMALY (Blushing slightly under his tan skin) Yeah, yeah... don't get all mushy on me. Now, come on! I bet I can transform into a flamingo and beat you to the Glitter Stream!
SERAPHINA (Flapping her wings) You’re on!
[ACTION] Seraphina takes flight as Animaly begins to spin into his next transformation. They race off across the pink horizon as the screen fades to white.
[SCENE END]
The Beast Within
Characters:
Animaly: A brown cockroach with the ability to transform into any animal. Friendly but cautious.
Feral Wereroach Joey: A purple and pink cockroach-wolf hybrid. Primal, hungry, and unpredictable.
[Scene Start]
(Setting: A dark, urban alleyway littered with discarded food scraps. The moon is full. Animaly is scavenging for a snack when a low, vibrating growl echoes from the shadows.)
Animaly: (Freezing in place) Uh... hello? Is there a cat back there? Because I can be a dog. I can be a very big dog!
(A pair of mismatched eyes—one red, one yellow—glow from the darkness. Feral Wereroach Joey creeps out on all fours. His tail twitches, and his fangs glisten.)
Joey: (Snarling) Grrrrr... RRR-OOO-UGH! Animaly: (Backing away) Whoa! You look like Joey, but... you’ve definitely missed a few grooming appointments. And a manicure.
(Joey lunges forward, snapping his jaws. Animaly quickly spins in a circle, disappearing in a puff of smoke.)
Animaly: Lion Mode!
(In Animaly's place now stands a small, cockroach-sized lion with a mighty mane. He lets out a tiny, high-pitched roar.)
Joey: (Tilts head, confused for a second, then hisses) Screee-hiss! (Joey doesn't care about the species; he sees prey. He pounces, pinning the "lion" down with his clawed front paws.)
Animaly: (Muffled) Okay, okay! Bad idea! Lion is too slow! Eel Mode!
(Animaly turns into a slippery eel, sliding right out from under Joey’s claws. He flops toward a puddle.)
Joey: (Barking frantically) Yip! Yap-yap-yap! (Joey chases the eel, splashing into the puddle. Animaly transforms back into his base form, sitting on a floating soda can.)
Animaly: Look, Joey—or whatever you are—I’m not a snack! I’m a fellow roach! See? Six legs... well, you have four legs and a tail now, but we’re basically cousins!
Joey: (Crouches low, snout quivering. He looks at Animaly, then at a nearby discarded pepperoni slice. He looks back at Animaly.) Whimper?
Animaly: (Relieved) Yeah. The pepperoni is much better. Trust me.
(Animaly transforms his arm into a long Elephant Trunk and tosses the pepperoni toward Joey.)
Joey: (Snaps the pepperoni out of the air and gulps it down. He wags his bushy purple tail vigorously.) Arf!
Animaly: (Sighs) You’re a handful. Maybe I should stay in Trainer Mode for a while.
(Animaly transforms into a tiny human in a safari hat. Joey licks his face with a giant, buggy tongue.)
Animaly: (Wiping his face) Gross! Definitely gross.
[Scene End]
Certainly! Here is a list of montages along with actions and dialogues for Part 3:
Montage 1:
Action: Bumpy is trying to reach a high shelf, just out of his grasp.
Dialogue (Animaly): "No worries, I can transform into a giraffe and get it for you!"
Action: Animaly begins to transform into a giraffe, but instead, he ends up turning into a comically tall, wobbly tower of various animals stacked on top of each other, toppling over and knocking down the shelf.
Dialogue (Bumpy, laughing): "Well, that was unexpected!"
Montage 2:
Action: Bumpy is attempting to retrieve a key stuck in a small hole.
Dialogue (Animaly, confidently): "I'll turn into a raccoon and use my dexterous paws to grab the key!"
Action: Animaly transforms into a raccoon but struggles to fit his large cockroach body through the hole. He gets stuck.
Dialogue (Bumpy, amused): "I think you need to work on your raccoon impression!"
Montage 3:
Action: Bumpy is trying to catch a butterfly that's fluttering just out of reach.
Dialogue (Animaly): "I can transform into a bird to help you catch it!"
Action: Animaly transforms into a bird but loses control and crashes into a nearby bush.
Dialogue (Bumpy, concerned): "Are you okay, Animaly?"
Montage 4:
Action: Bumpy is attempting to leap across a river.
Dialogue (Animaly, confidently): "I'll turn into a frog and make you a lily pad bridge!"
Action: Animaly transforms into a frog, but instead of creating a lily pad bridge, he turns into a giant, bouncy frog, launching Bumpy high into the air.
Dialogue (Bumpy, mid-air): "Ribbit! I didn't sign up for this!"
Montage 5:
Action: Bumpy is trying to retrieve a book from a high shelf.
Dialogue (Animaly): "I'll become a monkey and grab it for you!"
Action: Animaly transforms into a monkey but accidentally knocks over the entire bookshelf, burying Bumpy.
Dialogue (Bumpy, from under the books): "I think I need more than just a book now."
Montage 6:
Action: Bumpy is about to slip on a banana peel.
Dialogue (Animaly, quickly): "I'll turn into a cheetah and stop you from slipping!"
Action: Animaly transforms into a cheetah and races toward Bumpy, but he slides on the banana peel himself and crashes into Bumpy.
Dialogue (Bumpy, laughing): "Well, at least we're both on the ground now!"
Montage 7:
Action: Bumpy is trying to balance on a tightrope.
Dialogue (Animaly): "I'll transform into a tightrope-walking squirrel to show you how it's done!"
Action: Animaly transforms into a squirrel but starts darting back and forth on the tightrope, causing Bumpy to lose his balance and fall.
Dialogue (Bumpy, amused): "You're quite the acrobatic squirrel, Animaly!"
Montage 8:
Action: Bumpy is attempting to reach a switch on a high wall.
Dialogue (Animaly, confidently): "I'll turn into a gecko and climb up to flip the switch!"
Action: Animaly transforms into a gecko but struggles to stick to the wall and ends up sliding down, missing the switch.
Dialogue (Bumpy, chuckling): "Maybe geckos need more practice."
Montage 9:
Action: Bumpy is trying to retrieve a lost kite stuck in a tree.
Dialogue (Animaly): "I'll become a bird of prey and grab the kite!"
Action: Animaly transforms into a hawk but accidentally snatches the wrong end of the kite, causing it to unravel and float away.
Dialogue (Bumpy, bemused): "Well, at least you got a souvenir."
Montage 10:
Action: Bumpy is attempting to catch a dragonfly.
Dialogue (Animaly, determined): "I'll turn into a dragonfly myself and catch it for you!"
Action: Animaly transforms into a dragonfly but ends up chasing the real dragonfly in circles before both of them collide mid-air.
Dialogue (Bumpy, laughing): "Dragonfly showdown! Thanks for trying, Animaly."
A HUMANN!!!??
