Interdimensional wanderer

This animation goes with music: Interstellar - No Time for Caution (Organ/film version)

A lot of the inspiration came from the live orchestral performance that I saw in March 2024 (Amsterdam) - see here a recording of the same show in Prague.

Some months later, I was listening to Interstellar-No time for caution in my car and this image of my Siderian character Stállo (here in Draconic form) come to my mind... It was different from what I remembered of the live show and thought...I want do draw this...but there is no way I can draw what I saw in a still image... so I thought..why not animate it! So I did, and it came out pretty much like how I saw it in my head.

I first drew the image and then imported all the different layers into Blender where I animated them. Then I rendered them as layers again and composited it all together. So it's practically all hand-drawn except the particles and some of the animation effects where I warped the layers or added some animated texture masks over them. This was the first time I've been playing around with particles and compositing, but I'm happy with the result.
