WEEK 11
Started short project of path animation in After Effects, again haven’t used AE before and it was a whole discovery for me, as I didn’t realised it could be that easy to work on this software, will definitely try and progress in here for later studies. I chose a city skyline to do a path, and decided to do NYC❤️🗽. Just need to add a sound! Wanted to keep the style simple and colourful.
WEEK 9
Finished colouring my walking character, it could be better 100%, but I still like it, the movements not so smooth as well, but I will try to work on my mistakes during summer.
WEEK 7
Three weeks left to finish the walk cycle, and I realised I don’t do much work during class time so I borrowed a wacom tablet from media services and developed my frames at home. It is not as smooth as I imagined, but it takes lots of practice to do my best.
WEEK 5
Continuing working on my walk cycle, and decided to slightly change the colour of a character. Our teacher is always there for help, I struggle a little bit with understanding when arms needs to be forward and where legs should be at that time, but I’m trying to get there!
WEEK 4
This week we are starting 5 weeks project which is a walk cycle and I’m looking forward to see my first character walk cycle!
I chose to do a cheerful professor because I imagined this character the brightest from other options. I did a sketch of him and now I need to figure out and learn how the walk cycle works, as it is always different depending on your character, the emotion, the weight of a character etc. Also, I was introduced to Adobe Animate, which I also haven’t tried before, and I found it better than TV Paint so far.
