This is going to be an animated series on YouTube taking place in a medieval steampunk fantasy world. There will be seven main characters and plenty of juicy romantic, political, and emotional conflict.

This blog will serve as a place to advertise the series and showcase the characters and their personalities. This will be part ask-blog part discussion blog.

In the near future, I plan on making further posts showcasing the characters I currently have reference sheets for.

This series does need artists, so if any see this blog and want to draw the characters, let me know!

Never heard of PlotTwist Studios?

Well that makes me sad, but understandable, as we’re known near-exclusively for being the company that over promised on a Kickstarter and decided to somehow top that by over-delivering on a visual novel with so many choices and branching paths you’d go mad trying to count them all. But despite history stating the game should have collapsed in on itself, it’s done! It’s out! It’s in this link! And now we’re heading towards our next Kickstarter, hence the hiring event.

What do you need?

Immediately? 2D artists that love anime/semi-realism, and reliable ones that don’t mind working with Indie companies. (Now that wording should sound odd, but we’ve been around.) Additionally, 2D animators that can help Cat with short looping animations. We’ll be creating assets for the Kickstarter and the game’s demo.

What will the project be about?

It’s a mobile dating sim, taking place in a fictional dating app. We have salt to dish to a very stupid cupid calling itself okay. It’s also NSFW, so be prepared for that.

What’s the pay?

Exposure. (It’s a joke. It’s a joke!) We offer various methods you can get paid with; the top, default option being your typical rates through an Escrow. Your rates, your deadlines. You just have to adhere to your own deadline like your job depends on it. We do not accept exposure, experience, or anything resembling free. Please do not offer to work for free with absolutely no financial compensation ever. For anything lacking money, I only accept a trade of craft: My music, for your art.

DP Fanseries 2019 Update

Yes folks, the Dinosaur Planet animated fanseries project is far from extinct! I know we promised new material back in 2017, but we had hit some roadbumps along the way, and eventually I had to take a long hiatus from the project in order to focus on my senior film OutFOXed. But now that I have all the energy and experience I need, I'm ready to finish what I started. During the past month, I've been working on some new concepts and working on the final art design for the whole series (mainly the characters). Meanwhile, we have the storyboards to episode 1 completed, leaving only the voice acting and animation to be taken care of. Of course, we're still short on animators for the project, and we'll need some artists to help with the project's final art design. In the meantime, while we continue our search for animators, we plan to revitalize the social pages with some new concept art that me and the team have been working on. And we will be working on a series of short videos called Dinosaur Planet Legacy, which chronicles the lore of Dinosaur Planet and all its tribes. At the moment, there is no ETA for all of this, but we do know that DP Legacy will be quicker and easier to work on than an entire episode. Stay tuned for more DP updates throughout the year, for there will really be more coming in 2019!
