Ashiya Kouhei (one of the animators behind Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure) coming to my hometown as a special guest for our biggest anime event of the year was easily the best part of the month already. He gave a lecture on animation, drew and autographed lots of Jojo style cards (with the fans’ names on them, no less) and made a big illustration featuring not only Jojo characters but also Luffy, Monica from Monica’s Gang and a certain popular character from Amazon folklore. He’s also done a meet and greet and been all over town, posting about the places he visits on Twitter. He probably had a really tiring journey coming all the way down here to South America, and we’re very grateful. Hope we get to have more of this in the near future!
