One of my favorite things in anime is whenever the characters say their name and then go on to explain what characters they use to spell it. For example, in Stranger by the Shore, Shun says that his name is spelled with the Kanji for "horse", and that Mio's is spelled with the Kanji for "bearing fruit" and "center". I don't know why, but I love it, and I wish I could think of more than two examples (Death Note does it too when Light meets Naomi Misora. Light's name is spelled with the Kanji for "moon").

I just remembered an anime that I watched one time that I don't know the name of, but it was about this one kid who could harness the life energy of the universe to make portals and he travelled around with his uncle who adopted him because his parents died, and there were some other people there, too, like this one knight girl, an old man who really liked money, a princess of some sort whose name (at least in the English dub idk) was Amalia, and one other dude who was basically Sokka from Avatar: The Last Airbender. I remember one episode where the crew had to go to some castle to do something and it was filled with princesses who were all cursed in some way, and the kid, the princess, the knight girl, and the one dude had to go in pretending they were cursed princesses, too. I cannot for the life of me remember the name of that show.

Edit: I messed up, the episode was about the one dude getting kidnapped by the cursed princesses and the other three characters went in to save him I think. Either scenario could have been possible.

Spider Names!

Hey guys! So my friend has a tarantula and she’s trying to come up with names for her! My friend’s really into anime- so a name from that would be awesome. Her other spider’s name is Matilda. This is how my friend describes her.  “She is quiet, little adventurous for her species, she is slow but when disturbed she is faster than a toddler running to the kitchen after hearing food being opened, she loves food, she is nocturnal, she is also very small and ill always be fairly small in the tarantula world.   She has a very black eco skeleton but her hairs are super long curly and gold, Her common species name is Honduran virile hair. “
