BiBi's old design was nice, but I felt it wasn't unique enough. -It didn't show off his personality.
Also it would have been a total pain to animate(screw drawing head-phones over and over.)
I had to revamp his outfit to be more optimized for animation.
Inspiration came from various places, a major one being Betrayus from Pacman and The Ghostly Adventures.
(Never watched much of it, but I always thought Betrayus's design would make a cool outfit.)
-Tore up the sleeves more.
-Tore up the bottom of his shirt
-The colors of his pants and jacket match
-Bibi's tail is green and dark-green instead of white.
-His tail is much bigger, so it is visible.
-His fingers are much more pointed to better match the art-style I'm looking to replicate.
-I added crossing straps to "tie the coat together".
-I added ball ends on his coat-tips.
-The colors contrast the pants, and brings attention to the tips of Bibi's coat. -This helps show off Bibi's energy and movements with follow-thorugh animation.
-They also remind me of a Court-Jester, which makes me think Bibi is a funny guy when you get to know him.
-I wrapped each leg in a belt.
-This lets the coat-ends be seen a lot easier as they contrast greatly when they are on top.
-It also serves a functional purpose, allowing Bibi to take off his pant legs to turn his pants into shorts.
