I like the English translations. (I generally prefer the English versions of names so we can avoid Larry Vincent incidents.)

Yeah, the biggest debacle with the official English translation is that its not completely in agreement with itself (see the Koryuu/Shouryuu, Reinesia/Raynesia, and Crusty-Krusty incident), and sometimes it misses the mark with translations (Sewn Bind Hostage, Kozaru getting turned into Koen).

This means all of the guild names need to be standardized too... fun times. (Will probably standardize file names for the sake of SEO, which will be... an interesting experience.)

Pronouncing “ao” as “ow” is pretty exclusively used in rendering non-English words; for example “kung pao chicken” uses the “ow” sound, but “aorta” is pronounced “ae-orta”. So it wouldn’t be unreasonable for Landers who only heard his name spoken to render it the way they think it’s spelled based on the pronunciation.

It seems like Yen Press’ release of their books is ????? because someone on my LH Discord mentioned they got vol11 last Friday, but technically the street date for it was yesterday, after getting pushed back from its original release date of the 22nd.
