Baccano!

Imma tells y’all a story.

It begins with this show:

Being the pro-anime watcher I am, I settled into my bed with a cup of chai tea and a bowl of rockin’ popcorn. Bet you thought I was gonna say ramen. I’m not that much of an otaku. Anyways, I was comfy and all that jazz. Then I turned it on. 

Now the opening is pretty rad. First impressions are always important, and that was an excellent first impression. I was pretty pumped for this show because of all the hype I had been seeing. After the rest of the episode went:

I’m slightly confused but that's okay right? It will all be explained. 

Still not being explained, but now there are immortal people? I thought this was more of a realistic anime, but okay...

I AM SO CONFUSED!!!!

“What’s next on Baccano!” You know I would really like to know that myself. 

Following the first episode, things started to make sense, though. 

I can guarantee I was lying to myself. It honestly seemed different and I think I could get into it, but I don’t think I will ever finish it. I want to know how it ended. I was just too confused. Like looking at the tags I had, half of them were from when I first started this thing. And it been like two years. I still haven't finished and I don't think I ever will. :(

So I’m crossing this one off the list.

I’ve Been Slacking

Okay so I got busy and life just killed me. Did you know that your motivation to do anything plumes when you have to apply to college?

I have been watching anime, but not at the rate I wanted. I did decide though, to extend my time slot for watching all these anime to a year, so basically by the start of June 2018, I will have to be done with my anime “bucket list.” 

I fell into a deep and very dark BTS hole, which wasn’t entirely bad. Then I started watching Boys Over Flowers. Once again not a bad thing. Then I just got lazy and didn’t feel like writing anything. Then school started and I got slammed with college and adult life. 

As I did my homework I knocked out a large chunk of Naruto, and I watched Voltron. I also managed to rematch all of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. But I did not get any further on my bucket list...until now.

So this is gonna be a long one:

Assassination Classroom

OOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMGGGGGGGGG

This show has made it onto my “Favorite Anime of All Time” list. The animation was a amazing and the way the show was set up was even better. It was super funny and I liked how it was more than “let’s kill the teacher.” It taught crazy good life lessons that were far deeper that to listen to your teacher. 

Another thing I really liked was that Nagisa was obviously the main character but it focused on the others. It made it really feel like that were all a family and equally important. 

I loved the the anime references and the fourth-wall breaks. They were cleverly added into there and just made it so much more fun to watch. 

This anime had one of the cutest and most heart breaking love story I have seen and the ending was even sadder. I was in tears the entire second to last episode, and it didn’t help that everyone was crying. I did like however that it didn’t end on a sad note, and really helped to make it more of a happy anime that a tragic one. 

Blood Blockade Battlefront

 This show was actually really cool and I really liked the concept. I loved the opening song and I noticed a lit of similarities between and influences from other anime. 

It was the type of anime that you didn’t totally need to pay attention to to understand what was going on. It was serious but still incredibly funny. The main character was the perfect medium of characters and wasn’t your typical anime character. 

However, the ended did feel really anti-climactic and rushed. 

Overall it was good. It wasn’t something that would make my top tens but it is definitely worth the watch!

And then, I caught up with the My Hero Academia, Attack on Titan, and Blue Exorcist series. Which all are so amazing, so I don’t think I really need to dedicate a long explanation of my feelings of each.
