• Aggretsuko, Season 3 ✔️
I watch both the japanese and english voice, really love this franchise ♥️ big fan of Haida, even though i don't necessarily ship Retsuko with him. Cute artstyle mixed with adult themes and serious business. That episode when she spends a lot of money on a virtual boyfriend is insanely relatable 😳 hrm.
• Hige wo Soru. Soshite Joshikousei wo Hirou. (Higehiro: After Being Rejected, I Shaved and Took in a High School Runaway) ❌
I'm not gonna lie, this series made me uncomfortable. It felt like someone's own personal dream of having a high school girl living with them, with a too convenient sad backstory. I did finish it, but wouldn't recommend to anyone.
About a grown man taking in a homeless high school girl that wants to pay with sex but he refuses and instead let's her make housechores til she get on her feet again. The extras in this series always say "oh you're a good man for not having sex with her" instead of thinking it's weird he's hiding a minor at his apartment. Felt like he was shaping her into a wife (which he does). Exhausting, let's leave it at that.
In the mood of classic shoujo with cliché tropes ♥️ yes yes yes. Simple plot of two classmates who were childhood crushes but now teenagers have to deal with new emotions and high school drama. I had it on as background noise and everytime i looked up, something cute was going on.
I was going to delete it from my watchlist thinking it was a vampire anime but decided to peak anyway, and got completely sucked into it. This anime is BRUTAL. Slick animation, beautiful character design and a plot twist that made me baffled - but intrigued! About a priest daughter who is destined to protect a small village from monsters. Lately they've been coming more frequently, rapidly lowering the amount of village residents. This series let you connect with characters and non apologetically take them away in an instant.
But my favorite thing is that the main character is kinda... weak. ♥️ She's dealing with the pressure of protecting the village and the more people that falls victim to the monsters, the more insecure she gets and it's a thing she carries through the whooole series. Definitely going to continue this franchise.
I love Aiura but every episode is like 3 minutes, opening song 1 min, and ending song 1 min. Leaving the funny cute slice of life too quickly. Ya did my girls dirty, but it's the only meal i get so i gonna keep watching.
• Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop ✔️
Anime movie about a shy guy named Cherry who enjoy writing haikus, and a influencer girl called Smile who hides her teeth. They accidentally exchange phones and become friends. They both start working in elderly care over the summer and goes on a quest to find an old vinyl record for one of the old grandpas. It's such a cute story, i loved the characters and the haikus are beautiful! And omg, the animation is super sweet - both colorful and fun, very pleasing! I cried a bit when things got tough but the details of the characters mannerisms is so <33 wow!
