The Toy Book Magazine, June 1998 - cover and advertisement showcasing Animorphs licensees. The Toy Book is a trade magazine serving the toy industry, so it has news of which licensors have deals with which licensees for merchandise, TV/movies, etc.
*******************
In the case of Animorphs, Scholastic is the licensor, and there is a list of licensees on the ad above. This is the list, and what type of products each company made (that I know of, with links if I have pictures of the merch):
Hasbro - Puzzles, Invasion Board Game, Transformers
AME - Boxer shorts
Antioch Publishing - bookmarks, bookplates, journals, magnets etc.
Berkshire Fashions, Inc. - knit accessories
Giant Merchandising - T-shirts
GT Interactive (aka Infogrames) - computer and console games
Hallmark - greeting cards, stickers
Kittrich Corporation
KFC - fast food toys
Holiday Fair - backpacks, wallets, etc.
Jay Franco & Sons, Inc. - beach towels
Pizza Hut - Fast Food Toys
Plymouth, Inc. - School Folders
Springs Industries, Inc. - Bedding
Taco Bell - Fast Food Toys
Tiger Electronics
*******************
It’s interesting to me that Tiger Electronics is on this list, because in the 90s at the time of this ad Tiger was making a bunch of handheld LCD games for various franchises, but not Animorphs. Based on this list it looks like an Animorphs handheld game may have been planned at one point but not produced (or I would have heard of it).
The licensee list above is almost the same as the list from this 1998 article, which is where I have info on the products each company produced.
