Currently, I am working on a fic and it has me wondering… WTF DOES THE ANDALITE ECONOMY LOOK LIKE???

Because they do not have pockets, unless my little headcanon about the bags is true, so they have no place to put whatever currency Andalites have. And no one can tell me that Andalites don’t have some sort of economy because ‘they don’t need money to buy food and clothes’ well they probably need it for unnecessary space travel; for example, all the Andalites on earth.

So, do they have weird barcodes hidden someone in their fur? Or do they chip every Andalite who opens up their equivalent of a bank account?? This is a genuine question, I need to know.

There is currently a trend on TikTok with people talking about carrying their animals love with them with the fur on their clothes.

No one can convince me that Marco wouldn’t participate in this trend, showing off blue fur on his shirt then cutting to Ax who is oblivious that he’s being recorded.

Currently, I have found myself considering Axmarco plus a child. I don’t think Ax or Marco would be bad parents, but it would definitely take a lot of trial an error for them. Aximili was separated from his parents when he was the Andalite equivalent of 13 years olds (at least that’s what I assume) and Marco was practically a parent to his dad from 11 to 13. Neither of these guys really know what a stable household is like.

Ax would definitely study every parenting book known to man, and Marco would probably be the pretend-to-be-laid-back-dad but in actuality if that kid leaves his eyesight he freaking loses it. Put PTSD on top of that all and you’ve got the ingredients for a hilarious sitcom with dark undertones.

You can’t tell me that Andalites don’t have special bags for carrying stuff that won’t fit in their weak noodle arms.

They either use saddle bags, back that be carried with their tail, or both, but they absolutely hate using them. Andalites are so arrogant they’ll attempt to carry as much as they can until they’re just like ‘Fuck it, give me the bags’.

Ax and Marco are probably my favorite dynamic in Animorphs. Separately they are both fairly smart and just a tad weird and when they come together they are either 1) weird and chaotic or 2) tech geniuses getting shit done. I love imagining that if they got together they’d have to take turns with the single brain cell at times.
