So I'm reading the attack right now (#26) and they're fighting the howlers and the howlers well howl and ax's eyes start bleeding from the sound and either it's a typo and they meant ears or loud noises can make your eyes bleed and I do not want to think that that's possible

Pretty fucked up that after we were introduced in Animorphs book 26 to the idea that Yeerks could design their own bodies with no need to enslave anyone, it was basically never been mentioned again and ditched in favor of them becoming nothlits on purpose at the end.
