PPTS AU
TW/CW : nothing sexual, but also not for kids! smoking, blood, gore, death, and deals with deities of questionable benevolence.
So what is DHMIS: PPTS AU? It sounds like a horrible random amalgam of letters.
Well, it stands for Don't Hug Me I'm Scared: Pedagogue of Particular Teachers and Students AU.
Yes I named it so it would be pronounced like "Puppets AU." The spelled-out thing is quite a mouthful isn't it?
PPTS is an alternate universe I made up wherein all the puppets are humanoids, the teachers are humanoid embodiments of concepts (gods?) that were trapped in little object bodies during the happening of the DHMIS videos due to Roy's Machine.
There are no romantic ships in this au.
This started as animation memes viewable in YouTube through my channel which goes by the name of Yulogica. I have sone art of it on this blog and very little art of it viewable in Deviant Art under YunaSRL.
I suppose these posts are my attempt to expound upon it without dying from the pain of additional animations. This also sort of exists for me to catalogue things myself, but some others may enjoy it as well, so here you go.

Anakin's little notes to himself
As portrayed in Jude Watson's Jedi Quest young reader series.
Focus on the mission, it will get you through.
Focus on the first step. The others will follow.
Slow down. Breathe. The Force will help you.
Jedi sayings:
Means equal ends. In order to do good, one must act rightly at every step. If the means used were wrong, then the outcome was wrong, too.
No expectations. Acceptance.
Jedi do not second-guess.
Stuck for gift ideas for a writer? Aninotes note books are flicking good
Stuck for gift ideas for a writer? Aninotes note books are flicking good
If we’re talking gift ideas for writers, a notebook doesn’t exactly scream thoughtful and original does it? But hear me out for a minute. I was given an Aninotes book last year and it’s become my favourite of all time.
Not only is it perfect A5 size and encased in a lovely old-fashioned feeling warm orange fabric with a handy elastic strap, the 240-page book has got an awesome bee-themed…

Fear, insecurity, & the inability to accept critisism
Anakin's biggest fear (as far as personal insecurities go) is failure. For the most part, this applies to letting down those he cares about. All he wants is to prove himself to others (Obi-Wan mostly, when he's younger. The council as a whole when he's older.) Unfortunately, he doesn't seem to understand some basic Jedi principles, and thus is forever sub par in the eyes of those he seeks to impress. This just adds to his fear that he's not good enough and spurs him on to try harder to be strong and/or great instead of taking a moment to reflect and try to see what he's doing wrong. He has an extremely hard time accepting criticism and admitting his own faults. (Which makes him a terrible Jedi.) Instead of dealing with his faults and trying to fix them, he simply pretends they don't exist in hopes that they'll go away. This stems from his fear of self reflection, which in turn comes from not wanting to admit to having less-than-noble feelings and thoughts. I think this idea he has that he can just push things so away that he never has to think about them and therefor, they don't have to matter, comes from a form self defense. When he was a child, there were a lot of aspects of his life that he was better off ignoring. After all, there was nothing he could do, he was powerless, so he did the next best thing and became very adept at burying negative thoughts, feelings, and memories.
In many ways, his mindset is still very much that of the little boy who grew up on Tatooine. He feels that he can't just stop feeling how he feels (and maybe he can't) so, because he's accepted a position of powerlessness, decides it's best to ignore the problems and move on. He takes any form of criticism as proof that he's not good enough, so he resents those who frequently call him out (Mace Windu & Ferris Olin.) At the same time, he desperately wants to prove them wrong, but doesn't understand where he's lacking (because he can't admit to his faults and/or has already decided that whatever aspect is being called into question is something he cannot do.) And, of course, this just goes on in a viscous cycle until eventually he can't bottle it up anymore (and he kills the sand people and then all the Jedi and we know how it goes from there.)
Conclusions: Anakin cannot cope with failure (or perceived failure.) He doesn't understand the concept of letting things go. When he decides he can't do something, he gives up on trying and tries to cover it up as best he can (either by ignoring the problem, or trying harder in other areas in an attempt to mask his inabilities.)
Anakin Skywalker: notes
Regarding emotions (it was supposed to be motives, but that didn't work out.)
When Anakin feels anything, he feels it very strongly. This is just a general rule of thumb for him. He's highly empathetic, and he cares about others. He feels pain, sorrow, and love down to his very core. These emotions are intense; uncontrollable. To understand Anakin as a person, you need to understand that he doesn't feel things on the same emotional scale as everyone else. He doesn't have that inner filter that let's you shut it out. He can't help but feel everything. He's like one big exposed nerve. One wrong move, and you'll push him to the edge.
He's all but incapable of thinking rationally, or if he can it doesn't matter, because his morality is secondary to his emotions.*
*When he was first presented with the choice to join Darth Sidius or to turn him in to Jedi council, he chose good. He (rationally) made the moral decision and reported to Windu. The problem was that he had too much time to think about it afterwards. He had to sit and wait, which gave him too much time to think, and his emotions won out.
Even after he made the choice to disobey and go after them, he didn't choose Sidius right away. He rationalized a way to keep him alive, but Windu didn't take it. It all came down to a life or death, choose now or never situation, and he had to act. Anakin always has to act. After Windu's death, he'd crossed his own line of morality, so he was able to do things he normally wouldn't.
Another example would be when he found his mother. His rage drove him to murder, and he rationalized away his guilt by saying they were animals. This makes them less than people, therefor okay to kill. (This didn't rid him of his guilt entirely.)
Anakin Skywalker: Motivation (First Draft)
Anakin is very much emotionally and morally motivated, with emotion taking priority over morality. When looking at why he does anything, it's important to know that he doesn't put any kind of rational thought into any of it. If he does, then he can only hope that he doesn't have enough time to dwell on it, because he'll inevitably act according to his heart.*
I'm not trying to say that he never could, never has, or never will act according to his brain. I'm just saying that those instances are few and far between, or he chooses with his mind and then back tracks later.
He acts according to his heart, which really is in the right place and always has been, but he's virtually incapable of logical reasoning, so his actions don't always follow his morality.
To know what Anakin will do in any given situation, all you need to know is what's important to him. We know people are more important than anything (people in general with people close to him taking higher priority), so we can always know without a doubt, that Anakin will do whatever he can to protect those he cares about. Even if that means going very far outside his moral compass.
*He initially chose good and reported Palpatine to the Jedi, but he had too much time to dwell on it, and his emotions won out.
