To be honest, Charlotte hadn’t expected to see Anish tonight.
She had pushed for August to come tonight, the boy needed a night out and to be honest Charlotte was worried about him. She had only just met the young wolf but already she felt very protective of him and he had a place, if he ever needed it, wherever Charlotte was. It had even been nice to see him with her sister. The Hadestown costumes with his Nico costume.
But while she was supporting August in one corner, she also was aware of the work she was doing with Yui. It was hard work, but work that needed to be done. Since Dani and Jac had made the necessary move back home, her coven had felt smaller than ever with just Jace and her holding up the fort. She had Abuela and her sister but they were also busy. So between her work at Obsidian and the Library, most of Charlotte’s free time was spent with Warwick, and even then…she still rarely saw him.
She wasn’t even really sure he knew it was her who was helping Yui with the work. Which was fine, the work was more important than that. Her magic could be useful for this.
But still, there was that old familiar gravity. One moment she was moshing it out in the center of the dance room floor but one glance of the back of his head, and she was elbowing her way through the crowd.
Despite being a relatively small person, Charlotte was an experienced raver, using her elbows and feet when needed until she finally came up behind him, her hand going to pat on the back of his shoulder.
