It's fucking with me hard how many Japanese videos of old anime are AI upscaled, I understand a lot of it doesn't have high quality releases that are accessible, but I'd rather some shitty screen-capture of a VHS that has been dragged through the mud than this AI crap
I am VERY anti-AI, so I went on an almost 5 hours hunt a few months ago for a search engine that at least had the OPTION to have no AI features, and I found one called Startpage. I've been pretty happy with it, it does have some ads but nothing overbearing, very avoidable and with it not being a megacorporation I didn't mind, but just today I found out that it's considering implementing AI features. Now, it has not officially announced anything yet and I'm still hoping that it will not add AI, but it's disheartening to see that AI is becoming near unavoidable. It is EVERYWHERE and nobody seems to know or even care about the negative environmental and social impacts it has.

Prune hat der Computer noch hin bekommen und mit Pflaume übersetzt. Stimmt nicht so ganz, Prune ist mehr Dörrpflaume aber es ist wenigstens schon mal die richtige Frucht.
Das Word Whip erkennt die KI allerdings nicht als im Zusammenhang stehend mit der whipped creme, also der aufgeschlagenen Creme, sondern geht davon aus, dass es mit Peitsche übersetzt werden sollte.
Entsprechend ist der Titel nun übersetzt mit der Wortneuschöpfung
Pflaumenpeitsche
Ein Wort, das ich im ersten Moment nicht mit einer Süßspeise verbinden konnte. Das klingt für mich eher wie ein Euphemismus, den ein 80-Jähriger benutzt der wegen sexueller Belästigung aus dem Betreutem Wohnen geschmissen wurde.
