The unsea, the true sea??

the unsea: I hate the Darkling with all my soul but the power to summon shadows,,,,

And as for the crows, I would literally kill to have Matthias's impressive glare even though literally none of the crows seem to be afraid of it (I'm confident it'll work on the people I know though)

the true sea: okay so I know lb is seriously praised for her poc rep but??? that's such utter bullshit?????? The Suli are a mix of like seven different cultures and ethnicities, and they don't even HAVE a country, all of her books with the exception of a bunch of chapters from RoW are set in white countries, quote unquote, the characters she develops the most are white (the Darkling, Kaz, Nikolai, hell people don't like to admit it but Alina and Mal were never intended to be poc until the show), her countries based off of actual poc in the grishaverse are basically two and one of them is portrayed to be the enemy state for most of her books.

I guess what I'm getting to is: she's a good writer, and I enjoy her books, but it is not because of the oh so glorious rep, because that is non existent.
